I spent one night at Adelas and found it be a good location and great value. As some of the other posts mentions, the track side of the hostel does lend itself to more train noise, but I did not mind. We were traveling with some friends who had a river side and they could hear the trains come through... More

The bedroom is okay. If you stay in the river side, it's quite okay. But of you stay in the train tracks side, it can be very noisy when the train operates. The morning service is quite terrible. There is not enough table for guests. So we have to wait for a while before we can get the table. The... More

Maybe this would be OK if you had a room facing the river, but forget it if you are facing the train tracks. If you forgot your earplugs you will not sleep because the train runs all night long. The room is very small and the bed is uncomfortable. I would not stay here again.

Pros: Friendly welcome and great staff. They went out of their way to help us. We asked for directions to a restaurant--since they didn't speak much English, the gal just walked us to the restaurant instead of trying to explain it. We were able to get a room on the river side. We did not hear the trains at night.... More

This Hotel can best be described as reasonably-overpriced for a place such as Aguas Calientes. We arrived late by train from Ollantaytambo. The checkin-lady didn't seem to be very happy about checking in customers. However, the young team preparing the breakfast was very friendly. The room is OK but somewhat loud since it either faces the river or the train... More

Our stay was for two nights,we paid US$55 per night, so we expected just the basics and Adela's delivered just that. Location was good, on the other side of the train tracks when you alight at the station stop off the train from Ollantaytambo. Also close to the bus stop to catch the bus to Macchu Picchu - less than... More

My girlfriend and I stayed for two nights. Hostel is having very convenient location 2 minutes from bus station and 3 from train station. Personnel was very attentive and efficient. About the noise, some rooms are next to the railway and others to the river, it seems I am used to water flow and slept with no problem. Last train... More

For this price range, the room is okay - nothing special. The room, bed, and bathroom are sufficiently clean. The shower has good pressure and hot water. Like other hostals in Aguas Calientes, this one does not work hard for repeat business. The advertised wifi does not work on the third floor (it may not work on any floor!) Instead... More

We had an amazing experience at this hostal, the staff was always so friendly and willing to go out of their way to accommodate us and help us in every way possible. On the day we went to Machu Picchu we got our gopro camera stolen, the hostess at the hostal walked us all the way to the ministerio de... More

For what it is -- good value, convenient accommodations in Aguas Calientes -- I liked Adela's a lot. The owner and friendly staff are trying hard to please guests, even if their English is only so-so. The hostal, including the rooms, is clean and comfortable. It's apparently rated 2-stars on some local scale, and I would describe it as 2-star... More
