For what it is -- good value, convenient accommodations in Aguas Calientes -- I liked Adela's a lot. The owner and friendly staff are trying hard to please guests, even if their English is only so-so. The hostal, including the rooms, is clean and comfortable. It's apparently rated 2-stars on some local scale, and I would describe it as 2-star... More

Stayed here two nights in March, before and after my trip to Machu Picchu. The hostel is 100 m from the train station. It is new and clean.Biggest plus of this hostel is the proximity to everything in Aguas Calientes.Restaurants, shops, bus to Machu Picchu, town square, it's all five minutes walk or less. The room size is sufficient if you are... More

This small hotel is located right above (and I mean RIGHT ABOVE) the crashing Urubamba River. It is a noisy sound but I liked it (not that I had any trouble sleeping for the first time in a bed in 5 nights after the Inca Trail). There was no soap, and the towels were minimal, but there were amenities that... More

Nice little hostel between the railroad line and the river. Rooms are clean and the hot shower was much welcomed after a day in the rain and fog up at Machu Pichu. Happy to pay the price of 156 s (about 56 USD) for a twin room to this friendly staff.

As many of the other reviewers mention, this hotel is right along the train station, so be aware of noise (the last train is around 11pm). Rooms are small but clean, found the bathrooms to be one of the better ones we came across during our stay in Peru. I found the staff to be especially helpful. They provided a... More

We stayed in Adelas for one night, and for us it was fine for one night. Don't expect too much but it has the basics. The location is 2 minute walk away from the buses to Machu Picchu (MP). I found the room to be very clean (above my expectations) and the hot water was working perfectly. The walls are... More

The staff came to pick us up from the train station. The hostel is very close to the train and bus stations. They offer early checkin and provide takeaway breakfast if you want to start your climb early in the morning.

Not very kind people. Marginally clean small rooms. Nice view of river from some rooms. Would not recommend this place. There are many choices around there so plan ahead. Breakfast was cooked to order which we hope was nice.

My friend and I stayed here 2 nights in June 2003. I thought the room and restaurant were a great budget option. Pros - Clean room, hot water - good budget restaurant -an escort was waiting for us at the train station and promptly walked us to the hostel -Adela was very, very helpful via email answering all my questions... Adela's is a great place to stay on your way to or from Machu Picchu. Very friendly staff met us at the train station and walked us to the hostel. Clean, comfortable rooms. Great location for train or bus. Highly recommend!
