We only stayed here for one evening, and it was ok, almost happy to move on. Be prepared to hike up a lot of stairs on the way to this hotel (it's at the top of Aqua Calientes) near the hot springs. There's a lot of construction going on in the area, so noise during the day was a problem.... More

Went to this hotel and stayed in a big suite with jacuzzi, couch area and king size bed. Had to shower in cold water a couple times which sucked, breakfast was very limited and unimaginative there was a problem with the elevator so had yo take the stairs a lot (not really cool after spending the whole day hiking in... The Hotel Taypikala is almost at the top end of the city and very near the hot springs. This a quiet part of town. Be prepared for a steep hike to the hotel after you arrive at the train station. The hotel is five stories high but has no elevator. The hotel appears to be under construction and there may... More

As the city is pretty small, all the hotels are well located. The staff was really nice, but I expected more from a 4 stars hotel. The room was ok, the bathroom definitely needed some repairs and the smell was terrible (humidity smell). Only at the lobby the wi-fi worked, because at the room the signal was terrible. There was... Aguas Calientes, the town next to Machu Picchu is obviously very touristy and filled with hotels. I would recommend this one because the price is good and the amenities are good compared to other local hotels. You can hear some people/music outside, but you can also hear the river flowing. I slept fine and even napped during the day without... More

This hotel is a solid 2/3 stars hotel in the Machu Picchu town. Service is nice, friendly and everyone is willing to help. Rooms and installation though are outdated but the bed is comfy, rooms are clean and in general is not luxury but I think they should lower their price from 165 USD a night to 80 USD which I... More

Access to Machu Picchu bus terminal & PeruRail train station is close and good. Aguas is a small town, cool rasta bar next to hotel, shops nearby etc. Great breakfasts. Pretty good value but the people at the front desk don't speak great English and have some issues understanding, wifi especially bad here.

This hotel was a big disappointment. The room view is not even close to the website pictures. You look down on a courtyard, a partial building and laundry hanging. There was mold all over the shower in the bathroom. If I had stayed more that one night I would have left. The employees are nice, it was very quiet while... More

Let's start with the good. The potatoes on the breakfast buffet were the best I had in Peru. And the woman working the front desk was extremely helpful. And you can be one of the first to see Machupicchu in the morning if you are willing to wake up early. If not for those things, I probably would have rated... More

The hotel appears to be an eternal construction site: there are workers running around all the time and the noise can be pretty annoying during the day. At the first sight everything looks pretty fine – the rooms are decorated nicely and with taste. But if you look closer, you will start noticing small things. Our room was a corner... More
