I stayed at this hotel for 1 night. It was decent. There is an uphill walk to get to the hotel though so if you're sore from the Inca trail maybe it's not for you. It's kind of outside of the hustle and bustle of aguas which is nice. But at the same time, everything in aguas is very close.... More

My husband, son and I stayed in the Taypicala for one night before going to Machu Picchu. It was a decent hotel that was fine for one night. While it was not as nice as other hotels we stayed at in Peru, it seemed like one of the nicer hotels in its price range in Aguas Calientes. We stayed in... More

Great location, great accommodations, great service, great food! Yes, it's a hike up to the hotel but everything is in Machu Picchu. Porters brought our bags so not an issue. The views from our room were simply lovely. I'd return in a heartbeat!

I loved this hotel and my stay in Aguas Callentes. The hotel was filled with textile art. It was great to see. The location was very good and quiet but close to activities and restaurants and the market for shopping. It was a short walk to the bus stop for Machu Picchu. They have a great breakfast buffet.

We were here in Nov. /14 at a cost of $120 (USD) including service. I believe we were given an upgraded, spacious room on the third floor corner with a new large jetted tub in the room. That cost is too great for this hotel and even for Aguas Calientes bearing in mind what that can buy in other international... More

My wife and I stayed at Taypikala for 2 nights. The room was clean, morning breakfast had good variety and the staff friendly. A steep incline is to be hiked before reaching the hotel and this was challenging - esp during the checkin when we had to take our bags. Also, after our trips to Machu Pichu when we wanted... More

OK Hotel but overpriced. We booked an expensive suite room and it seemed damp. It looks like they try to alleviate the problem by running humidifiers in the halls. Food is OK. The bar man who also hosts the breakfast buffet is fantastic, other than that it was all mediocre. One thing- the power goes out quite frequently in Aguas... More

Nice breakfast, that is already open before sunrise (for those who want enjoy the sunrise on the top of the mountain). Nice view. Large rooms. There are elevators, yes. Staff is very helpful. You can enjoy the Sacred City until the last minute, because staff from the hotel will be waiting in the train station with your lugagge (you don´t... More

We decided to stay in Aguas Calientes after our 4 days trek on the Inca Trail. The hotel is located on the top of the main shopping and restaurant street just next to the entrance of the hot springs. The best with the location is that you don't hear the noice from the train or the traffic. The rooms were... More

From the pictures I'd seen I was not looking forward to staying here as part of our tour. However it was colourfully decorated with a flowery courtyard and located in a quiet alley a few blocks from the main square. The room had a comfy double bed and spa bath, and rooms 301 and 302 had good views from the... More
