After 4 days trekking and coming down with some awful stomach yuck thing and all you want to do is sleep for 20 hours straight, this place delivered. We came down early from Machu Picchu because I was so ill, our room wasn't ready, but they had a comfy couch that I camped on until our room was ready. It... More

Location - If you have limited time in Aguas Calientes, better to take another hotel / b&b near the bus station. When we arrived late in Aguas Calientes and didn't have the time to buy the bus ticket the next day. Early in the morning, we woke up to get to the first few lines in the bus kiosk to... More

This is an OK hotel in American terms and probably a decent hotel in South American terms. The rooms are spacious enough and generally clean, although ours reeked of urine upon arrival (the smell dissipated after airing out the bathroom). Breakfast is ok. They are adding two floors to the top of the hotel so good luck getting any sleep... More

Given the selections of hotels in Agua Calientes...this is a very good option. The room was clean but initially smelled of urine. My son quickly turned on the fan & opened the window...smell resolved but not a great start! It is at the very highest spot in AC and requires a hike to the hotel, if this is an issue,... More

After a couple of two very sick days in Cusco...the fresh air from Machu Picchu was a relief. We arrived in the earlier train from Cusco and went directly to the ruins. After a whole day of walking...more walking to the top of the little town to reach for the Teypikala Hotel. Once you are there...get the room the closest... More

The hotel is OK for one night before going to Machu Picchu. We were lucky and got the suite with a huge jacuzzi. Breakfast was included but not great. The view was very good and access to the town was easy.

This hotel is far enough from the train station and the center of Aguas Calientes that you don't get a lot of the rail, bus, and street noise that is common closer to station. Yet it is still close enough to get easily to anyplace you need to go to in Aguas Calientes. We also slept with our window open... More

This hotel is located on the top of the hill of aquas calientes, close to the hot springs. Luckily, Sanctuary Lodge offered that we transfer our 2 luggage to this hotel, otherwise we would've probably died half way. There are many misleading reviews and pictures so you better do your research on this hotel first hand. The view of our... More

I wonder sometimes if people write reviews just so they can have someplace to complain. This hotel far exceeded my expectations, especially after reading all the negative reviews. If you are coming to Aqua Calientes to visit Machu Picchu then you are already expecting a rigorous walking experience. If getting to the hotel makes you complain then you are going... More

We stayed for 2 nights only because we booked ahead on a tight schedule. The good parts were the beds and the charming barman who also hosts breakfast. The problem was that the plumbing was faulty. The toilet needed a plumber as soon as we arrived. The hot water in shower was mostly cold with the odd short burst of... More
