A lot of what makes a difference in a hotel is the overall service. We had the room with two twin beds and one double bed. Nice, large and airy. The double rooms looked much smaller and darker, but ours was clean and nice. What made our stay great was the service provided by Nely. She met us at the... More

Let's face it, people only go to Aguas Calientes to see the justly famous Machu Picchu. They expect little of the base town, and the town delivers little. However, this hotel is an exception to that rule. I almost wish there were more to do in the town so we could have justified another night's stay as it was such... More

Booked the kingsize room after our 4 day trek on the Inca Trail. Welcome treat to fall asleep in such a comfortable & large bed listening to the river outside our window. Very clean, no problem with the WiFi & instant hot water too! Entire staff extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast, which the staff made to order. Wished we... More

We were met at the train station and walked up a few blocks to this charming B&B. Our rooms were comfortable, along the river, close to everything...restaurants, bus and train stations. The bathroom was small, but hot water was not a problem. We traveled with another couple, spending 2 nights in AC and had our own happy hour in one... More

This hotel was a welcome home base to explore Machu Pichu from, we were in a spacious room on the second floor, the comforter was amazing and I love how all the bedding was embroidered with hotel name.  The friendly staff met us at the train station and walked us to the hotel which is slightly removed from the bustle... This hotel was the perfect place to stay for a good night's sleep before exploring Machu Picchu. The staff was lovely and spoke great English. The English speaking staff was much appreciated since no one in my group spoke fluent Spanish. We got a room for 4. It was comfortable and affordable. We weren't looking for anything spectacular since we... More

We had made reservations for this B&B well in advance, but when we arrived, we were told our reservation was at another site, that was "just the same." Instead of staying at the hotel we booked by the river, we had to lug our things back to a hotel next to the train station, which was clearly arranged last minute... More

Terrazas del Inca is what you truly need it to be when visiting the Machu Picchu area. The rooms are clean but basic, modern enough but not super modern nor elegant, with comfortable bedding, and the location next to the river and just a short stroll from the mineral baths is great. The staff is warm and welcoming and eager... More

Nelly met me at the train station (she knew me by my first name Thomas) and was super helpful. She spoke excellent English, pointed out on a map where all the main things were, gave me dining tips and the best room in the house, over looking the lobby and the river. Breakfast starts at 4am so you can catch... More

Cristiano met us at the train station which was great. Both he and the woman who worked during the day were very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in a room with a king bed which was very comfortable. There was a table and two chairs set up beside the window which looked out onto the pedestrian walkway and the river.... More
