considering the price you have to pay (~20€) have ugly and dark rooms, dirty sheets, very unpleasant staff, bad wifi. if you are not desperate or you just need to lay down in a bed late night you should find another solution. and spend maybe a little more...

After checking out a few hospedajes, we stopped searching when we reached Las Bromelias. Friends took a very nice double room and I had a smaller single room for my self (room #9) which was smallish and without access to outside light. But as I would be returning for a second night, I was offered a slightly nicer room (#11)... More

+++ very friendly manager and his wife who tried to solve all our problems (eg gave me his USB charging device) ++ great location close to the main plaza to the left hand side of the church (and the post office) ++ quiet at nighttime ++ reliable fast WIFI and hot water ++ 40 Soles for a clean, big room... I guess that you're itinerary for Aguas Calientes is: arrive, sleep, get very early and head to Machu Picchu and flee. If you're ok with basic comfort, my recommendation is: Just.Stay.Here! They have plenty of rooms and it seems pretty safe. It's very cheap (~8$ per night), around the corner from the main square (Manco Capac) and very close to... More

Stayed here 28th August 2011, The staff were very accomodating and helpful and spoke english. They provided me breakfast at 5:50am so I could catch the 6:20 bus up to Macchu Picchu. its true some rooms are small but others are quite nice . I would happily stay there again and recommend it with out hesistation

We stayed here for one night after a busy day at Machu Picchu. It was basic but very clean, comfortable, towels and soap provided, a lovely lady working there who was willing to negotiate on the rate and we got a great nights sleep. It was very quiet and was just what we wanted. No wifi but we used the... More

Aguas Calientes is maybe the more expensive town in Perú. Las Bromelias is one of the few hostel that have a raisonable price. But rooms are ugly, humid and dark. And the service was just sufficient. I had a good treatement everywhere in Peru, not in Aguas Calientes-Machu Picchu. It‘s a pity, because tourists will associate a wonderful landscape with... More

My husband was doing the four day Inca trail hike, while I was going up by train and meeting him there. In order to be at Machu Picchu early morning when he arrived I needed to take the train up the day before and spend the night in Aguas Calientes (also called Machupicchu Pueblo). We also thought that after the... More

Clean, quiet hostel with ensuite bathrooms. Double room for 50 soles per night. It's not a bad place and it's a good value for a hostel in Aguas Calientes, and okay security.
