I stayed only one night (during the low season) but I really enjoyed this short stay there. The bedrooms are basics but quite comfortable and very clean (so as the bathrooms). Staff member are nice and gives you a lot of information, really appreciated. It's a little bit far from the train station but the city is so small that... More

We went here based on a recommendation from the Lonely Planet. I don’t usually stay in hostels but we got a private room with bathroom so thought we’d give it a go. The room was clean-ish but the bed spread was old and grotty. There was no hot water, at all, and the breakfast was not so good. From someone... More

good option, but is shown better than real is, far from the bus station. was very clean and the girls who work there were very helpful and friendly. good breakfast and bathroom. No have Tv. The village is very small and it is understandable small hotel, but it was good.

We stayed there one night before our Machu Picchu trip. The building is quite run down and the bed seemed to be in use for a long time. The breakfast was minimal and staff could be friendlier. You might feel that they have enough customers so they don't have to do much about it. Everything very basic.

We stayed in a 3 bed room for 1 night during our visit to Machu Pichu - the hostel staff came and picked us up from the train station. They were quite friendly and gave us all the info needed for our trip the next day. Good WIFI connection - again a big deal in Peru. Overall a pleasant stay

- Location: 10 min walk from the train station. 5-10 min walk to the bus to Machu Picchu. Aguas Calientes is really small, so you can say it's in the city centre - Staff: communicative English - Cleanliness: fine. Nice rooms, - Breakfast: Cereals, juice, scrambled eggs - you can take as much as you like. And they start serving... More

This place was absolutely horrible. We got in late and had to leave early in the morning for Machu Pichu, so we had to tolerate the room. The room was damp, musty and smelled like urine. To say the least, we weren't able to get a good nights sleep. I would definetly NOT recommend this place.

Aguas Calientes is very damp and cold between June and September. If possible, spend some extra money on more comfortable accommodation. Pirwa Hostel had no seals on the doors or windows, making every room cold and draughty, including the common areas. The staff were very loud and their every word echoed throughout the floors. There was no hot water in... More
