Nice hotel. Good location. Breakfast was good. Staff very nice and pleasant. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, area quiet. You could hear the river water rushing by, but it wasn't overly loud, and actually made it easy to fall asleep. I'd stay again.

Don't confuse this with the Hostal El Santuario and spend time looking for the wrong hotel. The location of the hotel is convenient. It is a 5 minute uphill walk to the main road where the train and bus station are located. We had a room with a balcony, great view of the mountains and overlooked the raging Urabumba river.... The hotels in Aguas Calientes are considerably more expensive than other places in Peru. This was not the nicest hotel that we stayed at in Peru, but it was certainly the most costly. That being said, it was a good stay for the price when compared with other hotels in the area. ROOM: We had a room with a balcony... More

Very convenient for the bus to Machhu Picchu, white noise event of the river makes it easy to sleep. The window in the shower did not work well so it was quite cold. Stunning views from the room. Breakfast was great, lots of variety even as a coeliac

We were really impressed with our one night in Aqua Calientes. The hotel was well situated and our room was large with a lovely balcony over looking a raging Urabumba river. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed our eggs. The staff were helpful with maps and suggestions to augment the advise of our guide.

Hotel has everything you need in a room, for a night. We had a room that faced the back and had no view to speak of but old buildings but luckily you're not in your room that much. When we started getting ready for bed we heard the train go by probably a hundred or so feet away but the... More

We stayed here for just one night while going up to Machu Picchu, but it was comfortable and well situated. The breakfast buffet had a good selection and one can ask for eggs done any style. We were lulled to sleep by the rush of the river right outside our balcony.

We stayed here for one night as part of a tour with Overseas Adventure Travel, so we didn't have to do all the normal research to find the place, check in, pay for the room directly, and related stuff. With that caveat, we found the neighborhood where the hotel is situated to have a bunch of stores, restaurants and other... More

I stayed here one night so I could make an early morning visit to Machu Picchu the day after my arrival in Aguas Calientes.Room was very comfortable and clean, with a good shower. The breakfast that was included had many choices and was very good before an early morning hike around Machu Picchu.

Aguas Calientes reminded me of a cross between Patpong in Bangkok and the archetypal Wild West town so as far as I'm concerned the biggest advantage of this hotel is that it's out of town (albeit just a couple of hundred yards) and so away from the noise and bustle. It's still convenient for both the railway and bus stations... More
