We stayed here for just one night while going up to Machu Picchu, but it was comfortable and well situated. The breakfast buffet had a good selection and one can ask for eggs done any style. We were lulled to sleep by the rush of the river right outside our balcony.

We stayed here for one night as part of a tour with Overseas Adventure Travel, so we didn't have to do all the normal research to find the place, check in, pay for the room directly, and related stuff. With that caveat, we found the neighborhood where the hotel is situated to have a bunch of stores, restaurants and other... More

I stayed here one night so I could make an early morning visit to Machu Picchu the day after my arrival in Aguas Calientes.Room was very comfortable and clean, with a good shower. The breakfast that was included had many choices and was very good before an early morning hike around Machu Picchu.

Aguas Calientes reminded me of a cross between Patpong in Bangkok and the archetypal Wild West town so as far as I'm concerned the biggest advantage of this hotel is that it's out of town (albeit just a couple of hundred yards) and so away from the noise and bustle. It's still convenient for both the railway and bus stations... More

Lets face it. No one goes to Aguascalientes to visit a quaint town. It's all about being there early or staying over night after visiting Machu Picchu. That being said all that's needed in a hotel is cleanliness and proximity to the train and bus terminuses. This one fits the bill. The location is right next to the river which... More

We spent two nights in the hotel. It is located down the road, a few blocks, from the train station and center of town. After the citadel closes, the bus traffic goes to zero and the hotel is very quiet. Our room is located on the river side and we had a balcony. The river drowns out any remaining noise.... More

We stayed 2 nights in Aguascalientes at the Santuario. It was a clean hotel right beside the river on the road leading up to Machu Picchu. The hotel was quite minimal but clean - the location right beside the river and a 5 minute walk anywhere was excellent. They provided a breakfast in the morning starting at 5:00 am. Later... More

Just across the road from the river and away from the bustle of the town, yet handy to everything. Clean, comfortable, warm and quiet. No lift but for us that wasn't a problem. Slept well. Good breakfast available very early in the morning. Would stay there again.

Santuario Hotel is located a block from Aquas Calientes center so in a quieter setting. Its a modern facility and I had a large, well appointed room with a great balcony. The hotel has no elevator so I'd recommend a room on a lower floor at this multi story building. WiFi connectivity was weak. Breakfast was quite good with made... More

The staff are very helpful and accomodating. We had a nice corner room with a view of the river. It is quiet at night. The price is very reasonable for the level of comfort and service you receive at this hotel. Sure there are budget hostels galore in MP town but you get what you pay for.
