We spent one night in the Inti Punku hotel prior to a full day in Machu Picchu. Our room was very nice, spacious with a comfortable bed, good wifi, and plenty of hot water for the shower. There was even satellite television, although nobody is going to string cable out to Aguas Calientes...The staff was friendly and held on to... More

We stayed here as part of Alpaca Expeditions Lares Trail and really enjoyed it. We stayed in a triple room which was quite compact but very comfortable. Great beds, good wifi and strong hot showers - all you need after hiking! They kept our bags while we went up to Maccu Picchu the next day and had breakfast ready for... More

We had read some bad reviews but have no idea why, because this is a good hotel with good beds and bathroom. We were on the backside so maybe thats why it is better, but on the front there is no road were cars or trucks can come. So i dont know how you can ever hear traffic !? Breakfast... More

This hotel claims that it is 3* but I wouldn't give it more than 1*. On arriving we were told that we were allocated a room on the 3rd floor with no lift service. We asked to be given a room lower down since we are 68 years old. This request was not acceded to since the hotel was full.... More

Right at the train station - super convenient not to drag bags nor spend time getting across the river to meet the train. However, it makes it noisy. We were never bothered by the train sound, but local people outside the window were noisy at night (a problem at nearly every hotel in Peru). Our room was spacious with a... More

Our 5D/4N trek included a night at this hotel. We could have opted to upgrade to another hotel, but we spent our money elsewhere (climbing Huayna Picchu and adding another day to the normally 4D trek). This hotel is nothing to write home about, but it was reasonably clean and had fantastic hot water for our first shower in 4... More

I was very surprised with this hotel. It was nearly perfect for a cheaper hotel. The rooms were clean, the beds were soft, the TV was large and WiFi actually worked in the rooms. I was able to get a bed with two double beds and a twin bed, and that was great for me. The only minor snag with... More

This hotel isn't the worst, but it isn't the best. First of all, the pictures are beautiful!! I'd like to know what hotel they're of because it sure isn't this one. The MAIN problem however, is the location. It says it's five minutes away from the train station. That's not possible because if I jumped out of our hotel window... More

Apparently there are 2 Inti Punku hotels in the Aguas Calientes/Machu Picchu area, and one of them is huffy about the other (someone from the MP hotel posted a response to a review and said, basically, you're talking about the other one, correct your review or remove it. Very customer-friendly.) I'm reviewing the one that's next to the market and... More

As so many other contributors have said DO NOT STAY in this hotel, and do not eat in their restaurant. The management is both rude, non-compliant, and dishonest to boot. I suppose they think they can get away with it because I am sure there are few customers that visit Aqua Caliente more than once - therefore repeat business is... More
