A hotel and restaurant at one end of Zagora. We had many hours to kill before our bus left and we tried almost all of the cafés and this place was the best. We only had tea here but the set menu looked really nice and not bad value. It was 100 dirham each for a three course meal. The... More

Very sad to share the news that Ali blandi died of cancer 5 months ago. things were not quite as they were with Mr Blandi at the helm. I wish his son's all success in taking things forward. On the plus side the hotel now has wifi and more rooms than last time I stayed, also a swimming pool.. What... More

This is the perfect spot for a shady rest and refreshment in stunning gardens whilst overheated, tired, or having your vehicle attended to along the road - Avenue Atlas - by the famous Aziz. The element of surprise on passing through the entrance from a fairly battered but friendly street is remarkable. I cannot speak for the rooms, but there... More

My room (#16 garden) had lots of attention to detail-- long full chocolate drapes puddling on the floor with tasteful beaded trim with an embroidered sheer overlay hanging on handmade rods which match the romantic scrolled metalwork of the double bed. The linens were fresh and clean and covered in a beautiful coverlet woven in a range of orange hues... More

Our room didn't have a window or better had a window in the corridor! We were offered another room and ended up paying a lot considering the fact that the room was dirty and smelly. We would not go back there

Hotel is situated about 10-15 minutes by foot from the main centre of town. The rooms and bungalows do not have air conditioning and the first night we were there were very hot, fortunately it cooled down on the second night. Restaurant was large and empty so did not try the food at the hotel, however breakfast was very slow... More

Chez Ali is the biggest guesthouse/hotel we have stayed in so far as the rest have been small riads or guesthouses. Arriving what appeared to be the start of the low season because the desert was getting hot, the hotel felt eerily empty as it can clearly cater for many people. The garden was huge, containing many fruit trees, wildlife... More

Hidden away behind a fairly ordinary frontage is this incredible paradise of wildlife and plants. The pool, staff, and warmth is just amazing. If you are in the area you must stay here! oh, and the quad biking into the desert is a definite must ... absolutely 5 stars all round!!!

How about this oasis in Zagora? In our opinion a bit underrated, since the place is situated in the palmeria, the food is excellent, the rooms are clean, the pool is lovely (and needed) and a good place to start your trip to Erg Chegaga...

It was the second time we visited Chez Ali in ten years. The hotel is extended with bigger and better rooms and facilities, but the place has not lost its original charm! It is still a wonderful quiet oasis. The staff are friendly and very helpful and will do everything to ensure you a pleasant stay. The accommodation is fine... More
