We had e great time in this hotel. The people were very nice and the food was very good. We made a 3-day trip in to the desert from there. All arrangements were perfectly organized by Fritz Koring. The sky observation was a great experience for us and Jürgen gave us a good insight in to the secrets of the... More

For astronomers this must be among the best sites in the Northern hemisphere available to drive there yourself. First rate equipment, helpful and knowledgeable staff. The excursions are just as interesting and fit in well with the 'night owls'. The accommodation and service are run impeccably. Don't forget, the hotel has a liquor licence. Speaking French helps with the local... More

Our vacation in this hotel feels like beeing in a big family. The trips we did from this location were well organized by Fritz Koring. Every evening we looking forward to a great dinner and the very friendly service. We had great nights with perfect sky observations and this is a special thing the hotel gave us. Joining the stars... A wonderful three nights stay at the hotel. A combination of genuine hospitality, comfortable rooms with good beds, stunning views and well equipped bathroom. It's setting deep in Morocco, surrounded by open space and nearby oasis and dunes. In the distance there is an almost 360° surrounding of mountains. Up on the roof there is an excellent type, size, quality,... More

I am always fair and honest in my reviews and so, after an unpleasant stay here, I contacted the manager by email to give him a chance to explain any extenuating circumstances that might have made our visit the exception and not the norm. What followed were numerous hostile replies from the manager accusing me of lying and of being... More

In late April, we spent 2 very comfortable nights at the Sahara Sky. It sits in a sandy barren landscape close to the incongruously situated Tinfou dune - the oasis is away off to the West at this point so the starkness of the environment is a vivid reminder of the desert some miles ahead. Another reminder is the sand... More

I knew nothing about astronomy but now I have had a great taste of thousands of stars, a comet, the rings of saturn and its moons - from astronomers of many nationalities. Breakfast when you want, extremely comfy beds, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. Our car had a flat tyre- they got it mended for Euro2; they introduced us to charming... More

I visited Sahara Sky for the geminids meteor shower in the second week of december. It was a great experience and because I shared a room with 2 other backpackers it wasn't to expensive (about 35 euro's a night p.p. if I remember correctly..but breakfast, dinner and the stars were included ;) ) It was a great experience for 2... Be aware! This is the most expensive place around Zagora, what will you get there? Shabby interior, bored staff, which treats you like hostiles. The food and breakfast will make you run away and never come back. This is a cold, heartless bunker and nothing than scam, dont waste your money.

This diffamatory review appears to be written by a person that was not a guest in our hotel. The hotel register - reviewed and classidied by the local police station - shows no "Torsten S" since jan 2013. Diffamatory remarque: "most expensive hotel in zagora" - there are 5 other hotels more expensive. "...bored staff which treats you like hostiles"... More

We travelled to the sahara desert on 12.12.2012 for 3 night (but we stayed for 1 night more) to see the Geminids meteor shower and to catch an Asteroid on photo. The first impression when I got off the bus, I really fell on my "behind" so much there were stars in the sky!!! We walked to the hotel where... More
