Definitely come to this hotel for the astronomy. The astronomer is very knowledgeable, dedicated, and helpful. The owner is much less so. We were counting on the advertised wifi but when we got to the hotel the owner said it was all used up for the month and told us to get our own (and wondered we didn't have internet... More

We welcome our guests especially if they come all the way from Honolulu Hawaii. But we also appreciate comments based on facts. In this case I wish to state the following: 1) The Wifi connection was not available due to a surcharge of the Internet Server of Maroc Telecom. It was blamed on the owner !? 2) The US client... It's close to the dunes of tinfu, which lie directly behind the Hotel. Dinner is fine, breakfast is alright. Rooms are clean and have a nice balcony. We couldn't attend the star watching at night, since it was full moon. The staff was kind enough to tell us, that it doesn't make that much sense.

I have visited this hotel in 2012 (http://www.tripadvisor.fi/ShowUserReviews-g304023-d1048382-r152041396-Kasbah_Hotel_Sahara_Sky-Zagora_Souss_Massa_Draa_Region.html#CHECK_RATES_CONT) Let me start by saying, this hotel/Observatory is the best if your are looking to stargaze and use professionally telescopes. Also the quietness of the surroundings are so relaxing that when you get back to "civillisation" it is hard. Many side adventures are also organized and are pretty easy to do and... More

So, I am mildy interested in astronomy. I stayed at a different hotel in Zagora but I went to this hotel for dinner and star gazing. I am midly interested in astronomy but this is a must do for anyone in the region. I will go back and stay at this hotel and spend the night gazing at stars again.... More

first time we visited SaharaSky was in 2012. This time we enjoyed the improvements made to the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the new SPA and sauna. Plus we could watch American TV stations in the Sahara! But above all the owner astronomer acquired the latest automatic telescope Meade LX850 with auto centering and tracking. We made sensational photos of galaxies... More

Traveling with friends on a budget we decided to stay one night in a comfortable hotel. We were surprised to find in SaharaSky every comfort we could think of: Large rooms with terraces overlooking the dunes of Tinfou. Air conditioning and flat TV even with CNN. Dinner was local berber food but the bar offered beer and wines. As Americans... More

we found in the internet that SaharaSky offers stargazing. Indeed we found a unique desert hotel with an attached observatory run by Fritz, a German astronomer who guided our group in stargazing until in the morning. We stayed in clean and spacious rooms air conditioned and equipped with flat screen TVs、which we hardly expected in the desert. The bar was... More

The hotel is nice but pretty basic, was great to have a balcony looking out over the desert. The meals are included so no choice but good quality and plenty of it. The astronomy there is excellent and you can spend the entire night on the roof looking out at the stars. People come here for the night sky and... More

Don't get me wrong. This is not a bad hotel. They certainly try very hard with limited resources and it's hard to fault them for that. But really guys - 1 large towel per room/suite when you have 2 or 3 guests in each room? Perhaps not really a thing that says "quality hotel". And if you have a sign... More

overall thr review is acceptable. But it lacks a balanced review if you consider that the reviewer accepted one night free of charge to compensate the (felt) inconvenience of seat belts in the backseats. See also: Moroccan standards. What is more significant is the fact that the average individual review points arrive at 3,2 = satisfactory - whilst the reviewer... More

We had e great time in this hotel. The people were very nice and the food was very good. We made a 3-day trip in to the desert from there. All arrangements were perfectly organized by Fritz Koring. The sky observation was a great experience for us and Jürgen gave us a good insight in to the secrets of the... More
