Just returned from our holiday in Taroudannt, we hadn't stayed at the Palais Salam before although we had had dinner there in the past and had a drink around the pool. Our plan was to stay at the hotel for two weeks, our room was in the old part of the hotel and was looking a little tired, the floor... more

I think the message is quite clear from the other reviews... the front area is lovely around the pool, bar and TV room. These are all in what was the original palace. the actual bedrooms to the back of the complex are of Holiday Inn standard, dull and basic but reasonably clean. For those reviews complaing about what a disappointment... more

A lovely set of buildings in beautiful gardens. The room was classed as 'traditional-style' and although slightly shabby was very comfortable and clean with amazing traditionally painted furniture & doors. The service in the restaurant and bar was excellent - delicious food and friendly helpful staff. I would love to stay there again. more

Room is fine. It's very clean I must say but there's nothing extra-ordinary about it. The facade of the hotel is class, it looks like a castle from outside, the gardens are lovely!! There's a fountain outside the restaurant and there were about 10 small turtles (very cute) The staff could not be more professional and helpful. The english of... more

Palais Salam - a hotel with wonderful garden areas. Service and rooms are not very convincing: rooms have elder furniture, service was a bit lethargic, dinner was OK but not at all fancy. more

travelled alone, was worried about being single female in islamic country but had no need to worry at palais salam. staff went out of their way to be helpful and understanding, couldn't do enough for me excellent the only downside were some loud english visitors who were rude to staff, loud and inconsiderate embarrassing to be associated with them staff... more

A pleasant and relaxing hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The room we stayed in was basic but clean. Food was excellent with plenty of options. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, with plenty of quiet seating areas. If you are looking for a peaceful break this hotel is a good choice. Taroudannt itself is interesting and the... more

This was our second stop on our honeymoon in 2006. To say it was bad was an understatement. The room we were initially given looked worse than something from Butlins. Very basic, musty smelling, with decor from the 80's. We got upgraded but even this room was basic (but didnt smell !). The food was good as were the gardens.... more

Our stay at Palais Salam was very enjoyable. The gardens are beautiful and the vibe there is a relaxed one. The buildings and interiors of the public spaces were sometimes incredible. The staff there are friendly and couldn't do enough to help and serve us. The food and bar prices are the same as a typical place in the UK... more

On our tour we stayed one night in this place. Next to the citywalls,it has large gardens with nice little niches and a pool. Lots of ducks, birds in cages and of course cats. These last ones were also crossing the diningroom, but I must say that they didn't try to get food. So far so good, very impressive, until...... more
