I certainly echo the sentiments of other reviewers. Not only because of the uniqueness of the excursion into the desert that could make one see Maison Merzouga through rose-tinted glasses, but because Ali truly runs a great place with aplomb. The hospitality is genuine and the service really great. Probably unrivalled in Morocco. Brother Omar was patient and very accommodating... More

We truly enjoyed our stay--the staff was friendly, the room comfortable, the meals delicious, and the pool refreshing. We started with the overnight desert camel ride--perhaps not the most comfortable means of transportation, but a completely unique experience, with the bonus of a gorgeous sunset, amazing stars, and blessed silence--and some fascinating desert creatures, to boot! We finished with a... More

The Seggaoui family have created an outstanding guesthouse just by the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Food was excellent, and everyone in the staff were friendly and helpful. Ali and Lahcen are amazing hosts, making sure that you have everything you need and that you are comfortable and happy. They are also more than willing to share their knowledge about life... More

Maison Merzouga is actually located in Hasselabied village about 4km away from Merzouga village or a 50 dirham cab ride - your cab driver will not volunteer to turn on the meter so negotiate beforehand. Another village (Takouj) lies in between Merzouga and Hasselabied but apparently many of the villages bordering the sand dunes (Merouga, Takouj and Hassilabied) have been... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed at the guesthouse on the 20th of March for the Desert tour experience. We arrived very early -4 am- the morning of the 20th and they had the room ready for us, so that we could sleep until late in the morning before our desert tour at 4 pm. Once awake we realised that the... More

I struggle to find the words to aptly describe our wonderful stay in this guesthouse. My friend and I spent 3 nights in this beautiful, well appointed guesthouse conveniently located a few minutes from the centre of Merzouga. The interiors of the rooms and the public common areas are filled in abundance with art pieces and exquisite carpets. Very impressive!... More

My wife, son and I spent one night here after experiencing an evening in the desert. We weren't expecting much at this guesthouse but were very pleasantly surprised. The owner and staff could not have been more welcoming and attentive. In early January the evenings are quite cool. Dinner was at a table in front of a blazing fireplace. Food... More

I've been visiting this part of Morocco for five years and keep coming back to the Seggaoui family at Maison Merzouga. This time the welcome was as warm as ever, from the moment I was picked up from the Supratour bus stop in Merzouga. The room was clean and comfortable and the food delicious and abundant! Long chats with hosts... More

Just a quick note to agree with all the praise from other positive reviewers here at Tripadvisor. The unique 3-night experience at Maison Merzouga will remain imprinted in my brain forever. Our suite, the hotel grounds, staff, the desert, the food, the fireplace, the excursions, the atmosphere, the hospitality, commitment and generosity... five stars plus. We felt like we made... More

The Guest House Merzouga was recommended by a friend and we are so grateful. We had an amazing 2 days at the guest house...food was delicious, Ali and his family were incredibly welcoming, and the house and location were lovely. As we were travelling with 3 children, we also asked Ali to help us with transportation and lodging for our... More
