The Guest House Merzouga was recommended by a friend and we are so grateful. We had an amazing 2 days at the guest house...food was delicious, Ali and his family were incredibly welcoming, and the house and location were lovely. As we were travelling with 3 children, we also asked Ali to help us with transportation and lodging for our... More

We have passed just one night in Guest House Maison Merzouga and it was a big pitty as the House and the people are wonderful. The place was huge and comfortable, made by earth and straw. Our room was also comfortable and with a nice atmosphere thanks to the color of the windows glasses. There is a beautiful terrace where... More

Spent only one night here--the second night we rode camels into the desert w/ Omar--but we would have happily stayed longer if we could have. The hotel is large but personable and the hosts and staff are incredibly welcoming and gracious. There is a fire to keep you cosy on cold nights, a lovely pool in the courtyard for hot... More

The place was huge and comfortable! Our rooms were also comfortable. There is a beautiful terrace where you can enjoy their welcome tea and snacks and look over the buildings. It is also a great place to watch the gorgeous night sky :) We enjoyed yummy dinner by the fireplace in the hotel, where we also had a good chat... More

The guest house is huge! Besides the guest rooms, there's a large cosy dining area with a fireplace, a pool and a terrace! The terrace is absolutely great as it provided a panoramic view of the desert in the day, and at night, one can admire the starry sky! The rooms are homely and clean. The host is also very friendly!... More

I stayed in Maison Merzouga for 2 nights, second night spent in their Erg Chebbi campsite with Omar, great guide. So many reasons why I love this place so much. 1. Breakfast is amazing! Coffee, juice, tea, eggs, bread LOTS OF BREAD! And you get 4-5 different jams and a honey. 2. Check out is 12noon but they let us... More

This is my second time at Guest House Merzouga, with no disappointment. Ali is very generous and kind, the second stay my daughter was ill and Ali saw to any special needs for her. Barack was lovely offering that special smile each time he served us atay or a meal, as well as attending to our needs like lighting the... More

Our host, Ali, was a most excellent host and person. He was very helpful and kind. The Guest House is located on the edge of the Sahara, the edge to nowhere. To pull off the operation Ali and his family manage, requires a great deal of skill. I was very impressed with how the staff was managed, their attentiveness and... More

Most friendly host! We would definitely stay here again on a next stay. On arrival the host was already saying hello when I was still in the car. He take us up to the roof for a welcome tea. From there you have a nice view at the dunes. We arranged a morning trip in the dunes to see sunrise,... More

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in April-one night in the guesthouse and then one night camel trek out into the desert. Accommodation at the guesthouse, the overnight desert camp and a 4WD trip locally on the day in between, were all arranged easily and efficiently by email with Ali. Our ensuite room was clean and tastefully decorated... More
