Quiet, clean accommodation, with excellent food prepared by friendly hosts. The overnight camel trek is magical - a cozy little encampment in the dunes, and the camels did not bite me! They've got a sandboard as well if you are so inclined.

Hassan, Mohamed and Hassan are perfect hosts. Very nice little property, perfect food and camel trip to the Sahara. All rooms with air conditioner, bathroom. Perfect location near the Western Sahara dunes.

I have nothing but good things to say about Camels House and co-owner Mohamed (as well as his little brother "Mohamed 2"!) who was super friendly and helpful for the 3 nights I spent there. He first met me at the town entrance (Hassi El Baid, or Hassilabied or even other variant spellings, near Merzouga) to help find the place,... More

Amazing experience in camel house and in the desert. Great experience crossing the dunes with Hassan, really recommend both the hotel and Hassan as a guide. Hotel offers cozy rooms with hor water very close to the dunes.

By coincidence it happened that we found Hassan from Camel's house, who took us one night with his camels in the desert. We rode under a breathtaking starry sky, in the splendor of moonlight to the Berber tents. Hassan finds the way blind! Arriving at the camp, we get the sweet, Moroccan tea and a delicious Moroccan dish from the... More

Had an amazing experience at the Camel House. The brothers who run the riad and desert tours are amazing. One brother offered to guide me in from town and then was nice enough to show me where the Camels graze and a large salt lake. I decided to ditch the room (which was very nice btw) and take to the... Initially it was difficult finding Camels House as it's not very well sign-posted, but once I arrived I was greeted warmly by the staff and treated to a nice breakfast on the rooftop terrace. The staff, especially Mohamed, are very accommodating, and there is no rush or pressure to do anything. The rooms at Camel House are basic but adequate... More
