Very nice atmosphere and extremely friendly staff! We felt very good there, too bad we couldn't have stayed longer. The property is ideally located, so we could have our first walk to the dunes on the evening of our arrival. The staff is very helpful and flexible, so don't hesitate to tell them what you need!

Dear Natasa, Thank you for your thoughtful feeback regarding your recent experience at our Kasbah . Our goal at Kasbah Tamariste is very straight forward - to simply offer our guests an environment to create terrific memories, through our facilities certainly, but in particular though our service. We could not be more pleased that we were successful in executing these... More

During a bicycle tour of Morocco with my girlfriend we arrived around 22:30 in Hassi Labied, looking for a camping. We did not know that the other camping had an open door to the side so we went to this one. We were greeted by someone who seemed like a night watchman. We asked about accommodation for our tent. The... More

Unfortunately we do not show any record of these guests camping at our hotel. It is possible in the confusion of arriving late at night they thought they were at Kasbah Tamariste, but were at one of the many nearby hotels. It is also possible that one of our competitors is attempting to slander our business. So you can understand... More

We met ibrahim in ouarzazate. he told us about his kasbah and camel rides into the desert. We immediately liked ibrahim. He was telling about merzouga without being pushy, but just with a lot of enthusiasm and passion. Ibrahim supports his brother and sister with running the kasbah. It is a real family business and you are also treated as... More

The best experience we had in Morocco was with Auberge camping Tamariste. The staff went to great lengths to make sure we could gain insight into Berber life. The rooms were very comfortable, the food was delicious (with the biggest serving sizes!). The staff organised a one day tour of the area which we thoroughly enjoyed. We wish we had... More

I stayed at the hostel for one night, the bedroom was clean and the beds were comfortable. During the day Laxen (hostel owner) took us for a 4x4 tour of the desert. This tour was probably the best experience I had in Morocco, at a very cheap price. It was also at our own pace and more relaxing than the... More

Stayed at the hostel for one night as we were traveling to fes (wished we stayed longer). Auberge tamariste is located right on the edge of the Sahara desert. Literally a few minutes walk to the transition of the sand dunes, which is not possible from merzouga. We were greeted by the owner laxen, a Berber who was raised in... More

We stayed at Tamariste for 5 nights over New Years and had a perfect stay. Hassan and his family are perfect hosts and made us feel extremely welcome during our stay. The location is unbelievable. You are literally in the foothills of the dunes and it gives you a sense of independence because you can walk into the Sahara without... More

The Hostel is suited in Hassi La Bied a small traditional town near Merzouga. From there you can walk up the dunes by yourself. Its best to go from here, because you get to a point where you see nothing than dunes around you witch is awesome and pretty much impossible if you go from Merzouga. The hostel is pretty... More

Laxen is a young guy running a family business. He is knowledgeable about the area and the whole of Morocco. He can organise trips into the dunes for any amount of time you like. His sister lives next door to the Auberge and she makes the most wonderful home-cooked Moroccan food. The rooms are simple and clean with en-suite bathrooms... More
