Arriving at the Kasbah late in the evening and after a very long, long journey from Marrakech we were all greeted by Mohammed and Youssef with a wonderful dinner. To our delight our room for 4 was very spacious, clean, with a pretty décor to complement the ambience, a giant king bed plus 2 twin beds. The staff is very... More

close to the dunes: it takes you one minute to walk into the sahara!! the view from the hotel is stunning. you can have breakfast (dinner?) from the terrace looking into the desert. familylike staff: people were just great. helped us out whenever we needed them and were flexible to our plan changes. very open and nice in personal talks.... I just finished reading some of the other reviews and wonder if I was staying at a different hotel? Driving up to the hotel we thought we had found our fantasy desert oasis but, it was not to be. Our welcome was unprofessional at best, almost flippant. We were taken to our room and the moment the door opened the... More

My friend and I stayed here a couple of days ago. We planned on staying one night, but we ended up staying three nights. It was absolutely amazing. We got there after midnight and they were kind enough to call us twice to check if we were fine. Furthermore, when we got there they had dinner ready for us which... More

We arrived late at night and were greeted with a very warm welcome. A wonderful dinner was prepared despite the late hour. Run by brothers who make you feel at home and eager to show you as much of Merzouga and the dunes as possible. The rooms are great, big and very clean and the atmosphere in the lounge is... More

We had a great stay! Our room was clean and spacious for a family with 3 kids and we had our own patio with a view of the dunes. The location is great: a quick walk to the dunes. The hosts are extremely nice: they organized a great little birthday party as a surprise for my 6 yr old son!... More

The important point about Kasbah Azalay Merzouga for us was that it is not in the town itself but right on the edge of the desert, awesome views of the dunes and ultra-quiet. We arrived early hungry and tired, we were greeted with breakfast which we were not entitled to and not charged for, amazing. Breakfasts and meals provided at... More

It wasn't too far off the beaten path... and so worth taking the few extra minutes to get there. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, the food was first class, and the hospitality could not be beaten. We recommend staying for at least 3 nights, and including one night in the Berber tents that are about an hour out into... More

We arrived in the middle of a surprising sand storm, we could not even see the building! We knew we were going to be stranded for 24 for hours, the only guest! But our hosts were really charming, in a short time they got us a grilled chicken with french fries and salad, a lovely pot of tea and our... More

The kasbah is located just in front of the beuatiful Merzouga dunes. It is a small house (10 rooms) run by two brothers, friendly and efficient. They prepare traditional dinner and you can choose to spend a night in a tent. They organize as well tours with 4x4 or camels
