Perfect place to stay and organise our desert trip. So friendly and kind. We were met at the bus stop at 5am and had help carrying our bags. slept for a a few hours in a really nice room then had an amazing camel walk into the desert to stay in their perfect camp.

A very nice and stylish authentic small scale hotel. Youssef is probably the friendliest guy in Morocco and makes you feel right at home. We spent 1 night in his hotel and 1 night in his desert camp. When we look back at 3 weeks travelling through Morocco, the stay at Chez Youssef's hotel and camp is the true highlight!... More

A highlight of my do-it-yourself tour out of Marrakech was my three day visit at Chez Youssef in Merzouga on the edge of the Sahara Desert. With a regular tour, I could not have stayed at this friendly lodge as there are only four bedrooms. I took a Supratours bus from Ouarzazate, and arrived after dark. The owner Youssef met... More

We stayed with Youssef for one night at his beautiful homely B&B and then spent the second night at his camp in the Saharan dunes. At the B&B we were made to feel at home from the moment we pulled up in the car. Our room, in what is essentially his family home, was spacious and extremely comfortable. His family... More

but if you want to go into the desert overnight you should give him a call before booking. We´d booked via booking.com to make sure to have room in Merzouga. Therefore other parts of Maroc are better in matching our preferences we just wanted to go into the desert for one night.. Youssef definitely is a nice guy and he... More

This place is a guesthouse in a typical house in front of the dunes. Albeit basic, this accommodation offers everything needed up to tourists standards. Youssef is very friendly and made us feel at home. We also had dinner. To be short, we had a taste of the best tajine of our trip. It is simple, we compare every other... More

When I told locals that I was taking a 13 hour bus from Fes to Merzouga, then another 13 hour bus to Marrakech, they told me I was crazy. However, it was totally worth it for the 2 nights I spent in the Sahara. Hamid was a brilliant host - he was waiting for us off the bus, prepared delicious... More

About time I left the review Chez Youssef deserves! We finally finished our trip around the world, and I would honestly say out of all the places we've stayed, Chez Youssef's hospitality is top notch. At first, I was a bit hesitant to book my entire Sahara Desert experience through Chez Youssef. After all, we came to Morocco for the... More

We stayed at chez youssef for 2 nights and this was the highlight of our trip! When we arrived in the early morning with the supratours nightbus, Hamid was allready waiting on us to bring us to his lovely riad. Altough we booked for the evening we could enter our room right away to get some sleep. The hospatiltity and... More

Great family run guesthouse in Merzouga, where there's not much except for two larger tourist places and a lot of mud-walled houses. Youssef gave us a very warm welcome although we arrived just after sunrise. He was very helpful and well-connected. He organised a camel sunset trip for us by calling up one of his Berber cousins who owns two camels.... More
