A highlight of my 2 weeks in Morocco! I was super exhausted after all the travelling and Youssef's place was the best possible thing I did! The owner (Hamid) is super friendly and helpful, and advised me not to talk to others on my way from Todra to Merzouga, as there are lots of false guides. Very sincere and excellent... More

Real nice auberge! We really enjoyed our time there. Hamid (the owner) is the kindest person we met in Morocco! He even picked us up at the bus station, when we arrived in Merzouga. The (included) breakfast was very rich and delicious as was the dinner (which was not included, but very cheap). The whole place was rather quiet and... More

Probably the best customer service we've ever had anywhere. Hamid was helpful and accommodating. Rooms are nice, clean, and warm (we visited in winter). Breakfast was good and location was convenient.

Our Riad Boujloud (in Fes - I've reviewed it on Tripadvisor) highly recommended that we stay at Chez Youssef for our home base during our trek into the Sahara & we could not have been more pleased. Our overnight bus arrived before dawn and Hamid was there in the dark, cold morning waiting to retrieve us & our bags. Once... More

We stayed for 3 nights in this lovely litte pension with only 4 rooms. Hamid and his wife Aisha are perfect guest hosts. Aisha cooked for us very delicious food in the evening and also a tasty breakfast was served in the patio. The rooms and comun areas are comfortable, quiet and spotless clean. Chez Youssef is only a 10... More

Had to kill one day after coming from Sahara untill the Nightbus left. Nice and clean A/C-Rooms, very sympathetic owner, gabe us a quite fair price for the day. Real good food. His Tajine kefta was one of the best dishes we had in morocco so far. Clearly highly reconmended.

I visited Merzouga with my boyfriend for two days, first night at chez youssef and second night at desert camp. Chez Youssef is an amazing place, super clean, great decoration taste, comfortable, well equipped (AC in bedroom is mandatory considering how hot it can get in merzouga). But what really makes the difference is Hamid's kindness. He took care of... More

During my Morocco motorbike solo tour I stay for one day "chez" Youssef. What a lovely place... with an excellent atmosphere, tasty meals and a nice terrace to watch the moonlight and chat with the other guests. Hamid is the perfect host and his guest house is, probably, one of the best places to stay in Morocco (the location is... More

This was my trip - casablanca - marrakesh - Oarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Merzouga - Fes - Chefchaoun - Tangier - Casablanca. Best stay was at Chez youssef. my wife and i stayed in fantastic Riads all over morocco but Chez youssef may not be a riad but felt like home. even with basic amenities we felt comfortable, we... Chez Yousef was one of the very best places we stayed during our month in Morocco. Weary from a long bus ride from Marrakesh, lovely host Hamid welcomed us at the station and helped with our bags. On arrival we had a fantastic meal waiting for us. The food throughout our stay was ample and delicious – in particular the... More
