Just finishing a stay here at Bab Rimal, Hotel, Restaurant & Camping. Using the Campsite at the place has been good, made better when the guys who run the hotel identified the Mains Breaker and labelled it no to be turned off at 22:30 or when all the guests had gone to bed so the food in our fridge did... if you are traveling from many days in morocco, the mind the body and the soul can be very fatigued. the dry air, the heat, the rhythm, the miles you drive or travel through, the amount of feelings and people you come across, everything together can make your energy pretty low. This is the moment when a place like Bab... More

I'm struggling to define what was disappointing about Bab Rimal. Basically it just didn't ring true. Disneyland Morocco in that it felt like a high-end Moroccan themed restaurant might elsewhere in the world, rather than authentically Moroccan. Out of a 3 week trip this was the only place that didn't wow us. The room was kinda cool. It was a... More

Comfortable if slightly tired room. Large bathroom which could do with redecoration. Superb pool and outlook toward mountains. Mostly very friendly staff, especially the female receptionist. Delicious dinner and breakfast. No credit cards accepted and payment demanded immediately on arrival. Not the best of greetings but things improved!

At the very edge of the desert, with the anti Atlas at its back, Bab Rimal is a nice looking Kasbah. Gorgeous pool (long, great for swimming) overlooking the mountains and surrounding palmieres. Bungalows made of Cobb (Adobe?) with bathroom and air con. Very hot in August (unsurprisingly!) but very airless room. Friendly enough staff. Food ok but nothing to... More

A nice enough place, made special by the fact that it is likely to be your first opportunity to jump into a pool after coming in from the Sahara. Having said that, service is sluggish even for Morocco, and the they struggle to maintain the grounds. The rooms can best be described as adequate and not too dirty. But who... More

We really did enjoy our stay at Bab Rimal. The hotel is a surprisingly luxurious place surrounded by a beautiful landscape. Guests sleep in spacious traditional loam houses bounded by a palm tree garden. In the garden they also grow herbs and vegetables which are served for dinner in a delicious tajin. Staff is kind and considerate and always up... More

When travelling in the more southern towns of Morocco accommodation is scarcer to find and facilities not the same quality as in the big cities. Set between rocky escarpments just out of town, Bab Rimal is the largest accommodation available in the desert town of Foum Zguid and is constantly improving. Arriving after dark recently on a cold night, the... More

We were extremely surprised after a very long drive through quite barren landscape to drive through the gates of this very nice hotel, with the beautifully lit up pool and inviting gardens. Unfortunately we could only stay one night but were extremely tempted to stay longer. A very comfortable bed and the dinner of wonderfully spiced tagine in their restaurant... More

After a dusty drive across the desert and late lunch in a local restaurant in town we arrived at Bab Rimal nestled between the hills, just as the sun was beginning to descend, a rather surreal experience given the fact that we were on the edge of the desert and a long way from real civilization. The tranquility and comfort... More
