A nice enough place, made special by the fact that it is likely to be your first opportunity to jump into a pool after coming in from the Sahara. Having said that, service is sluggish even for Morocco, and the they struggle to maintain the grounds. The rooms can best be described as adequate and not too dirty. But who... More

We really did enjoy our stay at Bab Rimal. The hotel is a surprisingly luxurious place surrounded by a beautiful landscape. Guests sleep in spacious traditional loam houses bounded by a palm tree garden. In the garden they also grow herbs and vegetables which are served for dinner in a delicious tajin. Staff is kind and considerate and always up... More

When travelling in the more southern towns of Morocco accommodation is scarcer to find and facilities not the same quality as in the big cities. Set between rocky escarpments just out of town, Bab Rimal is the largest accommodation available in the desert town of Foum Zguid and is constantly improving. Arriving after dark recently on a cold night, the... More

We were extremely surprised after a very long drive through quite barren landscape to drive through the gates of this very nice hotel, with the beautifully lit up pool and inviting gardens. Unfortunately we could only stay one night but were extremely tempted to stay longer. A very comfortable bed and the dinner of wonderfully spiced tagine in their restaurant... More

After a dusty drive across the desert and late lunch in a local restaurant in town we arrived at Bab Rimal nestled between the hills, just as the sun was beginning to descend, a rather surreal experience given the fact that we were on the edge of the desert and a long way from real civilization. The tranquility and comfort... More

We were not scheduled to stay here, but our several night trip in the desert was interrupted by the crazy rains and we had to evacuate our camel trip on a 4x4. They brought us to Bab Rimal as an alternative to continue our trip through Morroco. The rains affected us yet again since the bridge on the main road... More

I had some trepidation regarding traveling to Morocco because I don't speak Arabic or French and I am allergic to all nuts. Walnuts can kill me and I carry an epi-pen at all times. A friend recommend that my husband and I meet Bari because he was traveling back home,to Morocco. We had lunch in San Francisco and we told... More

We had 2 nights here (after driving to Tata and discovering there was no hotel or Riad there that anyone would want to stay in, and so returning to Foum Zguid for the second night). The hotel has a lovely location between the hills, and the view from the very decent pool is lovely. Individual bungalows are well presented and... More

After driving on our motorbikes through the desert for 3 days, we arrived at Bab Rimal which was like an oasis for us. It was very hot and thus we enjoyed the swimming pool and the air-conditioned rooms to cool down a little bit. The furniture of our room was elegant with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was very clean... More

We loved the place! Wonderful setting, local walks along riverbed, great atmosphere. Everything a tired, hungry and thirsty traveller could want, and a better standard than we had seen for a number of days. Food was traditional by choice and delicious. Naji, owner/manager, was a breath of fresh air and regaled us with stories of the culture. He arranged our... More
