Coming from the cities of the south, with their heavily traditional Moroccan riads and dars, I was knocked back on my heels by the bright yellows blues and oranges of Dar Antonio. For just a moment I thought I'd ended up in Mexico. But no, this is clearly Morocco, but with a heavy Spanish influence. Each of the seven rooms... More

I stayed in Dar Antonio for three nights. It looks like a stylish designer hotel, but is in fact very cheap. Ideal for people on a small budget who don't need extras ... just a bed and a shower (the shower and toilet was shared with others). There are no extras like a pool or a fitness studio. It's very... Very well located, close to the entrance to the old medina. The place is nice and confortable. The owner is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is not included but there are plenty places to for it, just around the corner (main square). It has a full equipped kitchen if you want to use.

We stayed here for two nights, spending a bit more than we intended but couldn't say no after looking at this place! The whole place is decorated authentically Moroccan, with a cute little communal rest area upstairs and seating downstairs. There's even a glimpse of the mountains in the background. We made use of the free and well equipped cooking... More

This is a great choice for Chefchaouen. It is just two minutes from the main square (giving you a fair chance of finding your way home!) but tucked away down a little alley. It is beautifully decorated and loving maintained. Mohammed and Hicham are very helpful. Mohammed took a taxi with us to the place we'd left our car and... More

We arrived in Dar Antonio after a long bus trip from Fez, and were immediately welcomed by Mughammad who showed us our rooms, and got us settled in. The guesthouse is really homely, and the room that I stayed in was very nicely decorated and was spacious. If I ever come back to Chefchaouen then I will most definitely stay... More

After fending off three hotel touts who assailed us as soon as we exited our taxi (making claims like, "It's closed" and worse), we wandered our way through the medina until we came upon the bluest of blue cul de sacs. At the end was Dar Antonio. Hicham greeted us warmly and immediately put himself at our disposal, as he... More

I love the patio are here, which is amazingly decorated and a great place to relax after what had been a long stretch of traveling for us. The owner and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly. And I LOVE the crazy shower in the bottom floor. The Rough Guide described it as a "cave," which I think gave... More

A hidden gem in the very laid back town of Chefchaouen. It is one of those places that you think you will spend a night or two and end up staying a week or longer. Hicham and Mohammed are lovely hosts who just go the extra step to make sure you are comfortable and enjoying your stay. The rooms are... More

It was so lovely at Dar Antonio that I stayed for over 2 weeks, and would definitely stay again on returning to Chefchaouen. Hicham and Mohammed are very respectful and do whatever they can to make everyone's stay comfortable and enjoyable. Everything is cleaned and cared for on a daily basis. It has been nicely painted in different colours and... More
