One of the best hostels I've stayed at. Really cheap and really beautiful right in the heart of the medina in Chefchaoen. The owner Anne is not one to cross but she's incredibly helpful for her guests. The rooftop terrace is also an incredible spot to hang out and take in the beauty of the town

Our stay at Riad Baraka was perfect. Great location in the medina - 5 minutes to a ATM, 10 minutes to the Plaza, within 10 minutes of the best restaurants, and surrounded by markets and vendors. The riad is exceptionally clean, contains numerous restrooms and fast wi-fi, provides fresh towels daily, offers delicious breakfast options (go with the parfait, you'll... More

It is a Nice hostel, i recommend this place because: the nice and clean rooms, perfect location, beatifull rooftop, friendly owners (thanks Ann), good place for young people! There where notes with a timetable for hot water...we tried but we had cold showers unfortunately. But we managed. This was our first cold shower in Marocco. I am sure they Will... More

This is a great spot right inside the beautiful blue medina. I would say it's a mix between a hostel and home stay -- some rooms have private bathrooms, some don't. There aren't any dorm rooms. Breakfast is delicious -- but make sure you tell the owner the day before if you're planning on having breakfast the next morning or... More

The riad /hostel is perfectly located inside the medina. Upon arrival we meet the owner, joe, who shows us around. Joe is very good with us, very friendly and helpful. The cozy hostel has a lovely terrace with sitting areas, a little fridge with some pops, beers, wine, bought using the honor system. There is A cozy little movie room... More

Our stay at Riad Baraka was one of the best of our 3 month trip so far. The place is perfectly located, just inside the medina, tucked away from the main hustle and bustle. Joe and his staff have put a lot of effort into the appearance of the riad with beautiful illustrations adorning the walls. The place is always... More

We booked the double ensuite via hostelbookers.com and sent email to re-confirm before the trip. but upon arrival, they said the room was occupied and changed to a double room share bathroom for us with a small discount. It's fine. the riad is well maintained, great roof area. though the shared toilet is very tiny. and hot shower only available... More

I really liked this place. It's got a fantastic rooftop terrace with tiles and painted cement floors with bright cushions and alcoves. Really lovely place to read and eat. The owner is really funny, but it's a bitterly dry sense of humor and can be off putting at first. Once you warm up to him he's an absolute doll, though... More

Just returned from my vacation in Morocco, and I must say...after the chaos and heat in the south,I was really looking forward to a more peaceful place to spend my last 10 days. Could not have picked a better place to stay in than Riad Baraka. Joe made me feel right at home from the moment I walked through his... More
