Probably the least favorite place I stayed in during my three weeks in Morocco. I was there in the beginning of April in one of the dorm rooms. The weather was still chilly and the hostel felt really damp and cold to me. The room was windowless and cramped. The bathrooms were passable, but the hot water was unreliable. But... More

The guy running this place is a jerk. He was offering us a 400 dirham deal for a taxi to Akchour and back when we found a better deal elsewhere and took it. Later, when other travellers came into the hostel, we informed them of the better deal when it came up in conversation that they were going to go... More

Souika is the cheapest hostel in Chefchaouen. It is popular with hippies, stoners and backpackers. It has a mixture of dorms, privates and rooftop tents. The terrace has some romantic views of the medina and the Mountains. Breakfast is available for 20 dh and tajine, couscous also. The hostel can be difficult to find in the Medina. The staff could... We fled from hotel Mouritania because of bed bugs around midnight to this hostel next door, which we hoped would be our saviour. The young man at the desk was understanding and insistent that we take a wash and bag our clothes up so as to not spread bed bugs into his rooms. We were happy to do that, hoping... More

Despite the initial hassle of finding the place, It was a very enjoyable stay. The staff are helpful and will book buses for you if you ask. The roof top accommodation looked fun and communal and if I went back that would be where I would stay. I was in one of the dorm rooms. They were clean and comfortable.... More

Brilliant location, however the staff weren't as friendly as some of the others in the hostels we stayed in. A guy we didn't know caught us of guard and took us the hostel (even though we said several time we didn't want a guide) then proceeded to wait in the entrance, demand money and offer us drugs. Disappointed the hostel... More

This is a place where time stops once you get in :) great relaxed ambiance (cant tell about the food, I haven't tried it). Perfect place to meet people . Big minus for the bathroom and toilets (can get pretty dirty, only one x floor). Big plus is the location and the price. If you're travelling alone and look for... More

Travellers Rest Souika is very well placed near the main square. It can also be accessed from the bottom end of the medin from Lalla Horra. Basic clean rooms with plenty of shared bathrooms dotted around the building. Has a good restaurant with fair prices. Good rooftop terrace with views over the town but the rooftop is also used for... Pension Souika is just a stone's throw away from Medina, located in the narrow street of enchanting Chefchaouen with many great shops offering all sorts of merchandise. Rooms are nice and cosy, some of the staff friendly, talkative and eager to please. The hostel is great value for money, very popular with young people. It is pretty clean, with all the... More

The hotel is located in a town centre, in the centre of beautiful medina. The room we slept in was comfortable and cosy. The staff speaks good English. It feels like in hostel, cause many young people stay there. The disadvantage is that there's only 1 bathroom for 1 floor and it's quite small and not so clean.
