I was feeling the "traveller's sickness" when we checked in. The staff went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. Regardless of my personal experience, the hotel was quaint and exotic, the facilities were comfortable and in good working condition, and the hotel was nearby several interesting tourist targets.

Buried in the heart of old Chefchaouen, this stylised Moroccan place has delightful artisan detail in every tile and turn of the stairs. The stained wood mosque-style windows and doorways, copper taps, showers shaped like cupcakes, ceramic ware, cushions and fabrics, all hint at local skills. The piece de resistance is the roof view of the town below and mountains... More

lovely place to stay. The hotel is very well located and a short stroll for the main restaurants and all the sights. We especially liked the roof terrace where you can have breakfast if you wish to catch the morning sunshine or go to the hotels cafe in the main square. The staff smiled and made us feel very welcome,... More

Dar Mounir had all the charm and character we were hoping it would have. The entire hotel is well decorated and all the rooms were a good size with more Moroccan style furnishings. The rooftop had a fantastic view of the mountains and town. The included breakfast was very good. Best of all, the staff were super friendly and helpful,... More

This little hotel is very close to the main square from one side & not too far from the main road making it easy to catch a taxi. Beds are very comfortable & warm. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was good, but during the night it became noisy. The room was right by the staircase and faced an open hallway/balcony which our open windows also were facing. It was probably cleaning staff who spoke loudly and were noisy from around five o’clock. Slightly annoying. We were told the night before that we... More

the hotel is carefully planned and decorated for a relatively small space, and lovely. Staff was terrific and went out of their way to be helpful. Loved having drinks and/or eating on the roof. Location is very convenient. I would definitely return.
