We had a wonderful stay at Riad Azaouia. The house is beautiful with many custom touches, and the terraces are a wonderful place to spend time reading or enjoying a glass of wine while the sun sets. The riad has wonderful character and a friendly staff, and the breakfasts were amazing. Caroline is a fantastic cook and a wealth of... More

Just had 3 nights here. Staff excellent, go out of their way to help you in any way. Caroline was really helpful with organising transport to Chefchaouen via Tangier Med to collect our sons off the ferry from Spain. Riad spotlessly clean and tidy, rooftop terrace a haven away from heat, noise etc. Breakfast lovely with a variation every day.... More

My three nights at Dar Azaouia were truly a pleasure. Caroline is the warm and accommodating innkeeper of this charming 3-room riad which looks ancient, but was actually built by her - with love and authenticity - just a few years ago. I stayed at the top of the house in a comfortable suite with a huge and wonderful bathtub... More

OK, my last review was of a budget, hostel type place. This is a full fledged, full service Riad, and it was wonderful. As I said in my last review, how can they both be five of five? It is all relative. We had the rooftop terrace room, and paid €90 a night, and expected good service and a nice... More

If you don't know what a Riad is, it is similar to an European bed and breakfast. This one in particular was beautifully decorated, with upmost attention to detail from bath salts in a 2 person tub that felt like a swimming pool, to candles everywhere, to crystal wine glasses to enjoy wonderful Moroccan wine.. not to mention that the... Despite Dar Azaouia is for its location (just outside the medina) and for other aspects (nice terrace and quite good taste furniture), it needs important refurbishment (especially bathrooms, that are esthetically good looking but totally user unfriendly. The last time I stayed there I discovered the guests are locked in and nobody answers the phone or comes to open the... More

Best B&B in Asilah! Cosy atmosphere, beautiful decor and rooms that cannot be faulted. The town itself was an adventure of its own with a charm that leaves you wanting more! We had the most wonderful week at this place and am already looking forward to our next trip there. The food was fantastic and the market shops where out... More

Asilah is a peaceful town with very laidback citizens and so is this charming guesthouse. After a 4-night stay with our family, we are convinced this was a very good choice. All day long we had thee-service and very pleasant people welcoming us. The rooms are all different and romantic with an abundance of wood for the chimneys. Every morning,... More

I was at this hotel over the Christmas holidays, travelling with friends. Upon arrival around 9am, we were greeted by a very nice woman who was ready to help with cases etc. All the charm was there until we climbed the stairs - me to my room and my friends up to their's on the roof. I had forgotten how... More

Dar Azaouia is a well located riad (only a few minutes' walk from the Medina), run by a Belgian landlady called Caroline. It's very charming and it looks authentic. It has a very nice roof terrace and, 3 bedrooms and a fairly spacious suite, in which we stayed for 2 nights (a friend travelling with us stayed in the room... More
