Having read previous reviews about the quaintness of Kasbah Tebi, we kinda knew what to expect. However, not certain how much discomfort had to be sacrificed, we initially reserved only for one-night stay with a possibility to extend for another evening. After all, July is a low season. When we arrived, we were met by Muhammed at the new city... More

As another reviewer pointed out: you will love it or hate it! This is the real deal: there is no electricity in the ksar so your evenings at the Kasbah will be lit by candle light and head lamps! There are normal flush toilets and hot showers however. But for our 2 grandmas, it all prooved a bit too intense:... More

Located in the kasbah, this hotel is very high on atmosphere (restored section of the kasbah, candle lighting, interesting decor, can visit the rest of the kasbah at any hour and avoid the crowds) but low on comfort (high, narrow and dark staircases to get to your room, very low ceilings in the room, jerry-rigged bathroom, no electricity, parking quite... We arrived at Ait Benhaddou and were met by Mohamed and his donkey Baraka who carried our suitcases back to the accommodation, it was so sweet to watch Baraka trotting along. Kasbah Tebi is located inside the kasbah, not in the nearby town which makes it the most incredible experience. You get to be around when the tourists groups leave,free... More

I can’t believe how special Mohamed’s family kasbah in Ait Benhaddou was. It was the highlight of our time in Morocco. From the moment Mohamed met us at the parking area with a little donkey, we knew we were in for something special. He was very kind, and loaded up our bags in the saddlebags, and led us off down... We stayed here for one night on our trip through the Atlas. This Kasbah is in the centre of the old city of Ait Benhaddou. From here you can directly explore the ancient buildings and climb on top of the hill overlooking the valley. The service at Kasbah Tebi is excellent and the family cooked us some great dinner and... ......One of those places you are always sad to leave..... After the anarchy of marrakech, where could be better to unwind than kasbah tebi. The location is stunning...but this is a review of the kasbah. We were greeted by hassan and his donkey to take our bags across the river. The kasbah is stunningly beautiful both inside and out, beautifully... More

Ait Ben Haddou is a fortified town or Ksar on the old caravan route between Marrakesh and the Sahara and today lies 9 km off the main road from Marrakesh to Ouarzarzat where you turn south for the desert. Kasbah Tebi is the place to stay. You leave your car in the car park on your right near the entrance... More

What more can I add to the adjectives above? Mohamed and Hassan are incredibly nice and eager to make people feel at home in their beautiful abode. The food is terrific, dining and sleeping by candlelight is wonderfully romantic, and if you're lucky enough to be there when they play music, it is mesmerizing. Be sure to wake up for... More
