We stayed in many fine hotels during our early June 2015 trip to Morocco, but Riad Ksar Ighnda will always be remembered as our absolute favorite. As others have noted, it truly takes you by surprise. The setting is spectacular, the rooms are excellent and we simply could not stop taking photos, especially from the rooftop area. In the morning,... More

The hotel/riad seems to be the best for this particular visit in Ait Ben Haddou. We went to see the famous kasbah which is a long hike or a short car ride away. The hotel grounds were impressive but much of that was lost in the rooms, which were substandard. The kasbah is worth the visit but be prepared to... More

This is a super hotel and rather takes you by surprise. It is based on an old kasbah but now extended in the local style so it blends in with the rest of the village. Inside it is all luxury though with gardens and a pool in the central courtyard. The rooms are individual and in Moroccan style and appear... More

The possibilities for this property are great, however, execution is weak. The setting is beautiful, the location near Ait Benhaddou is perfect. Upon arrival, you have high hopes based on the setting. Then, you enter your room. We had 5 rooms reserved for our group, and there was no rhyme or reason for the allocation for the room. The party... More

For Morocco it is not a bad place to stay. Grounds and location are very nice. Rooms are also very nice but tired. It is hard to keep things nice and maintained in any third world country. Service is good but speaking French would help your stay ALOT! Food is good and since no one got sick you would have... More

We enjoyed our stay at Ksar Ighnda, though we found the room a little small and the buffet meals a little disappointing. The dining room is nice enough that the buffet rather spoils the mood. We did enjoy sitting by the pool after dinner listening to the musicians, and the views from our upstairs terrace were truly spectacular. The decor... More

Driving through the countryside, we drove through a tiny town and were shocked to walk into this gorgeous hotel! Wow. The buildings and grounds are stunning and designed creatively to include old adobe buildings in ruins -- sets the imagination on fire! We thoroughly enjoyed the Berber music with singers and dancers -- and even though it went on until... More

Lovely place to stay for a few days if visiting Ait Benhaddou or travelling on to Dades Valley. It took around 5 hours to reach from Marrakech but once there, it's a pleasant enough experience. Ibrahim arranged a camel trek for us which was huge fun and he took us to troglodyte caves and for tea in a Berber house.... More

A small oasis in the middle of a village, the Riad Caravane feels incredibly authentic. Everything here was very original and not your run-of-the-mill five star hotel- even the towels (an expensive cotton weave) and soap (which was handmade), gave a very boutique feel. The service was excellent, and the rooms were beautiful, with a very unique and Moroccan decor,... More

This was my fourth visit to Ait Ben Haddou and stayed here on the recommendation of a friend of a friend. I have stayed in many lovely riads in Morocco over the last decade but this is not one of them. A tourist trap / coach tour hotel -deafeningly loud drummers and "local" singers start at 18:00 we assumed to... More
