I spent one night at the Timoty hotel in Tiraspol a couple weeks back. The room was comfortable and quiet and I found the nice woman at the reception to be very helpful. When it was clear that it would be difficult to leave Transnistria before my 24 hour visa expired, she made arrangements with the authorities for me to... More

Stayed at Timoty hotel for 2 weeks. Room was very spacious and comfortable, with all necessary amenities. Clean and cozy interior. Hotel itself is close to the centre of Tiraspol, teather, cafes etc. Personnel working there was surprisingly very helpful, welcoming and friendly. Especially Tatiana, Front of House Manager, was amazing, always with a smile and ready to help. She... More

Not nearly as cheap as the indifferent rooms and shabby building would suggest but still one of the cheaper choices. Kind man at the desk. Room, bed, bathroom OK, NO CHARM unless you like soviet style. Breakfast less than average.

We stayed for a single night in the Timoty Hotel while passing through Transnistria, on the way to the Ukraine. Arriving on a train from Chisinau, it was about a 10-15 minute walk from the station to the hotel, which was pretty easy to find. Once there we were checked in by the guy on reception - who didn't speak... More

I stayed one night at Timoty Hotel and was very well received by the staff (and the hotel's resident bird). The room was large and clean, as was the bathroom. There is good wifi in the reception and in the room nearest the reception (which is where I stayed). In the restaurant they were most accommodating to my allergies and... More

A different but interesting business hotel concept where the lower part of the building is a hotel and the upper part a normal apartment complex. The staff is reserved but correct and will support you where possible. When you need assistance or directions to interesting spots in Tiraspol downtown the receptionist will help you quickly and efficient. The room concept... More

The Timoty is 2 star hotel by western standards but its the best in Tiraspol, very friendly receptionist, rooms are pretty basic, It's the best in Tiraspol. Very pricey for what you get but its really a monopoly situ. The hotel hotels are worse. Some rooms have jacuzzi, and larger beds.

I traveled to Transnistria on Jan. 19, 2009 with purpose of visiting distant relatives living in Tiraspol. The city has totally three hotels with Timoty being the newest one (since 2001). This hotel has a non-functioning web site for photo or information and no staff seems to speak English. With my little Russian conversation capability I made 5 nights reservation.... More
