Nice, clean, friendly, with a good breakfast, fast wifi and excellent location overall. Highly recommended for your Transdnistria experience! No credit cards accepted, but exchange office is just around the corner, so no problems there. Reception was very warm and willing to make all the experience of the trip to be really nice and smooth.

Hotel Russia is a 4-star hotel in the centre of Tiraspol, 2nd largest city of Moldova and capital of self-proclaimed republic of Transnistria. The building is in very good condition. All rooms and interior facilities have been recently renovated. Entrance and reception area are huge, there’s a large restaurant and café on the ground floor. Staff at the reception is... More

I was visiting Tiraspol for the 4th time and this is absolut the best place I have stayed. I was there for 5 nigths and the people in hotel are nice people, down to earth and help you in anyway they can. Tiraspol is a nice place even the media in the west sometimes tells some sh.i.t about this place.

Just come back from Tiraspol. I booked three rooms for a 2 night stay. Very little English is spoken in Transnistria but the reception staff (particularly Olga) were excellent. They also arranged a private transfer to and from Chisinau Airport through the "border". Rooms were clean and well equipped. Reception was very modern. Breakfast was reasonable and lots of it.... Hotel Russia is a comfy place, luxurious for the region. Comfortable accommodation, friendly and helpful staff, decent cousine (incl. vegetarian meals). One of the limitations you will find here is the impossibilty to pay with a card. You can withdraw/change money at the bank (USD or Euro for Tr.rubles) and you have to pay in cash. Trans.rubles are valid only... More

an excellent 4-5 hotel, perfect refuge for any tourist with some cash in his pocket comparing with the competition in the same city. probably the head-quarter for the nightlife fans in Tiraspol, with an exchange office opened from 23 to 07 in the morning. it's good to have the local version of rubla. when you entry Transnistria, is good to... Transnistria has little to offer, which flatters this decent but generally unexceptional hotel. What really stood out for me was the exceptional service provided by the reception staff in planning our onward journey including finding a hotel in Odessa. Delightful people.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Tiraspol with young friendly and helpful staff. The Internet in the room is free by cable. In the lobby Wi Fi .Big de lux rooms with all menities. Breakfast from the poor side as where missing basic items like jam marmelade or honey. Nevertheless you will not get out hungry as there are many... More

I was staying in hotel Russia for three nights while visiting beautiful Transnistria for a wedding of a friend. The hotel looks very modern and clean and appealing. In the lobby free WiFi was available which was nice since you don't have any cellphone reception with western cellphones. In the room a dedicated RJ-45 port provided free internet. I brought... This place opened in December 2011, adding to the very limited number of hotels in Tiraspol. Everything is gleaming new, the service is outstanding, and the beds are huge. Two minor niggles: they don't take credit cards (though there's a bank in the building where you can do cash withdrawals), and the rooms have wired internet access only, though there's... More
