I'm been to several diving lodge and I believe it is the best I've ever had... Everything is well organised, food is good , friendly staff.... A good place to enjoy peaceful and quiet. If you like diving, the water is calm with mild or sometimes no current. If you don't dive, you can swim, canoeing, walk around the Island... More

The friendly staff and dive instructors make this place. There's a charm in the simple rooms, basic, and comfortable and clean. The grounds are in great shape. The food was not bad, and very good on a few occasions. Only once was it just passable. It's the diving we came for and we were very happy with Diver's Den, their... More

I've been diving and staying Redangkalong several times over the past few years, and I've always enjoyed my stays there. The best thing about this place is the secluded location. I hate crowded resorts, so the quiet beach is ideal. The beach isn't the nicest and there is a terrible garbage area further down the beach, but I do note... More

Having travelled on the overnight bus from Penang, we were met as promised at 7am by their driver. Around 8am we were taken to a local port for a 45 minute boat trip to Redangkalong island. Arriving around 10-30am were started the training for Scuba diving. We stayed for 4 nights - 5 days - and so happy our stay... More

We made the booking for this wonderful resort at the last minute, having decided not to go to Mabul due to terrorist activity there.... We did not regret the decision for a second. Snorkelling was brilliant in a number of different locations close to the hotel and you can even snorkel straight from the beach at high tide. The diving... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the Redang Kalong. The rooms are basic and clean, the buffett food (Malay, Chinese and some Western) was plenty and tasty. Two snorkelling trips a day were included in our package and we enjoyed all of them. They took us to different places on each of our trips and all of them had corals,... More

I recently stayed @ Kalong with my family. Didn't understand why people could complain about the food. The meals served is excellent & the alternate nites BBQ dinner is just simply delicious! My compliments to the cooks. Staffs are friendly & generally helpful. Except the Myanmmar helper could do with a little more smile :-) while serving the rice. Kalong... More

When we arrived to the resort (2 adults & 2 children 9 and 4 y.o.) first impression was not promising, because we got one very basic room with 4 beds and a tiny bathroom. It was quite similar to the guest houses we used to travel when students in 90's with Lonely Planet. But it brought back some nice memories... More

If you've been the Laguna beach, don't expect Redang Kalong to be anything like it. This area is much less commercial (no beach discos, high end restaurants, fancy rooms). We stayed at the beach view chalet, which include heater and triple beds. No complaints about the room. I was there on a diving package which was reasonably priced, including 3... More
