We stayed at matahari chalet for 2 nights. The room is clean and enough for 3 people. This chalet is not a beachfront chalet, but it is ok. We can just walked to the beach in minutes. Location wise, is good because long beach has few restaurants to dine in and few shops in case you need any essentials. The... More

Stayed for 5 days. rooms are really basic, but they're considerable value for the price. Dove with Matahari Divers, instructors were really good and the diving was dirt cheap. I went in April, I would recommend a room with A/C as these islands are seriously warm. >40deg each day, and water 30-32deg on surface..

Everything you need for a simple life. The island in beautiful, people are so kind and the food is fantastic Relax relax relax. The room is near the beach (20 meter), is sorrounded by vegetation and flowers and you can see beautifull iguanas all around.

I stayed here for 4 nights and every night between midnight to 3am the bar next door had drumming so loud I couldn't sleep. The room was £10 a night but the sink was hanging off the wall and the shower was nothing more than a tap on the wall. I wouldn't stay here again but mainly because of the... More

We arrived without any reservation made beforehand, so we had to start looking for something. This was the 'best' place I could find with aircon (as I was travelling with my mum, we need it). It was a bit expensive, though. The room and the aircon was ok, but the only problem was that you had to pass over a... More

We stayed here for one night and one night only! It was the only place we could get a room when we arrived on Long Beach and we ended up paying a ridiculous price for a small, dark air con room. If I was paying budget price for this I wouldn't be moaning, but the fact we paid £25 for... More

Stayed there for 4 nights, the first in an A-Frame, the other nights in the longhouse. The prices are really good, and the area around the huts looks quite nice and green. Still, I think they could have done better. The staff seemed unorganized and overcharged with the bookings and weren't too friendly. Both bathrooms were only poorly cleaned when... More

Not much available for lodging on Long Beach. Got a dive package discount by staying at Matahari and diving with the Matahari Dive Shop. Good power, good location for beach and dive shop, great hot water, comfortable room. The owner and staff were friendly and very helpful. The dive groups were so small that I was the only diver most... More

I did a lot of research and from the reviews felt that Matahari was the best of the available choices. I set my expectations low but i was still disappointed. I was looking for a cheap AC room. Matahari was ok but wish id stayed at Ombak on Coral Bay, looked way nicer and only a short walk to long... More

First, you don't get much for your money on long beach but when you're in paradise, who cares? Matahari offer a variety of rooms from very basic huts to Air Con rooms in a newer development (this is where we stayed). They fill up very quick so get there early in the morning - we came downstairs numerous Mornings to... More
