We stayed at the Sharila Resort for two nights in August 2014. When arriving at the resort we were pleased by the beautiful white beaches and crystal clear water. Each room is a wooden chalet which look great from the outside, however inside they are very dark with little natural light (frosted windows?!) harsh panelled wooden walls with an excessive... More

Although it is not the best hotel I have ever been, the place was cozy, quiet and beautiful. Considering the type of hotels on the island, I think, by far, it's the best option for budget/value. Pros: The service was very friendly, the rooms were dark, but cozy and had new flat TV with satellite channels, the environment of the... More

To be fair I have to point out, that this was somehow a case of mistaken identity and we actually thought we would stay at another resor. We never figured out which resort on the perhentians we would have preferred for the entire island (the small island) did not meet any of our expectations. Snow white sand beaches (Lonely Plante,... First thing first. Perhentian is a must for anyone looking to experience the very best of Malaysian hospitality and natural beauty. From seasoned diver to 'Go-Pro Cousteaus' the islands - big and small have something to delight everyone. Shari-la resort is on Kecil (small island). Laid out into the local landscape - the rooms are fit, functional and clean and... More

We stayed here for 3 nights after spending 2 nights on the other side of the island. This was the best hotel and is on the best side of the island. It is a lot quieter and more picturesque on the side that Shari-La is based. The rooms were good, clean and cool and good value for money.

We park our vespa at somewhere in Kuala Busut and report to the office of Shari-la Island resort cause they have prepared the boat for us. We pay about RM2400.00 (for 4peoson) for 2 days accomodation, 3 meal a day, a day snorkelling trip(no meal), return boat transfer from Kuala Busut to Perhentian Island. Many person said is over price.... More

We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed this hotel. Charming, clean, friendly staff and located in a beautiful area on the west side (don't miss sunsets from Romantic beach). Definitely worth the money. There is a lovely bar next to the hotel where you can enjoy a drink while watching a movie.

I want to clarify - I could have stayed here, The room isnt great and isnt good value for money, but I could have stayed. This is the first (and last I hope) time I have cut short my stay anywhere. The reason my gf and I left was the TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE staff - who showed no interest in the... More

Booked a suite room. The room interior is simple and dark. Our room was placed right next to a construction and at an isolated area. We requested to change our room, however there weren't any more rooms available. Thankfully, during our stay of 3 days 2 night, there's no construction. Or else, the room will be dusty and noisy in... More

We signed up a 3D2N snorkelling package and extended 2N due to the flights availabilty. Standard chalet was ok but quite a long way to walk. There is a nice little kids pool with a small slide and a small mini-shop nearby offering burgers from Rm5. Hot water shower not consistent and water pressure is low in the early evening.... More
