Chalet inside was very nice, bed comfortable (no insects). Nothing to change. But forget about nice view from terrace. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant is included. There is a little rocky beach in shari-la resort, better to lay on the beach than to swim. Remember to book in advance, in july and august it is really hard to find good... More

We came here a bit early but they already had a room available which was very nice. The room is OK but there were a lot of defects in the room. The shower was not adjustable, only very hot. When you put on an extra water point it's OK but very strange. The bed is very hard and therefore not... More

The Perhentians really are a Malaysian Paradise. I must admit that when we arrived I was disappointed at first - our duplex cabin felt like it was a long way from the beach. Our room felt like a minimal existence and i didn't like the bathroom. There was no safe in our room and the owner told me that everything... More

The resort is great, from what I've seen is the best in kecil Island. It is made by individual chalets with their own porch. Accomodation is basic, especially the bathroom, you have to consider you are on a tropical island, but there is anything you need on a beach vacation on a tropical small island. The only aspect i would recoomend... More

We spent 3 nights at the Shari-La Resort. The accommodations ruined my Perhentian Island experience. Arriving onto the island, you are greeted with absolutely stunning views of crystal clear waters. The resort is great in concept- each room is an individual chalet with its own mini front porch, rocking chair, and clothing line for your swim wear to dry out.... More

We stayed at the Sharila Resort for two nights in August 2014. When arriving at the resort we were pleased by the beautiful white beaches and crystal clear water. Each room is a wooden chalet which look great from the outside, however inside they are very dark with little natural light (frosted windows?!) harsh panelled wooden walls with an excessive... More

Although it is not the best hotel I have ever been, the place was cozy, quiet and beautiful. Considering the type of hotels on the island, I think, by far, it's the best option for budget/value. Pros: The service was very friendly, the rooms were dark, but cozy and had new flat TV with satellite channels, the environment of the... More

To be fair I have to point out, that this was somehow a case of mistaken identity and we actually thought we would stay at another resor. We never figured out which resort on the perhentians we would have preferred for the entire island (the small island) did not meet any of our expectations. Snow white sand beaches (Lonely Plante,... First thing first. Perhentian is a must for anyone looking to experience the very best of Malaysian hospitality and natural beauty. From seasoned diver to 'Go-Pro Cousteaus' the islands - big and small have something to delight everyone. Shari-la resort is on Kecil (small island). Laid out into the local landscape - the rooms are fit, functional and clean and... More

We stayed here for 3 nights after spending 2 nights on the other side of the island. This was the best hotel and is on the best side of the island. It is a lot quieter and more picturesque on the side that Shari-La is based. The rooms were good, clean and cool and good value for money.
