Traveled with friends and got a triple room for 4D3N. room was clean and cozy, better than i expected, size was a bit small but more than enough space to put things for 3 people, toilet was clean with water heater, direct access to the jetty, there's a small beach in the hotel area for guests to swim but many... pros....wonderful snorkeling, nice beach, near many restaurants , quirky water features, attractive wooded area, nice small kiddies pool. Cons.....claustrophobic dark chalets , erratic water supply....hot water infrequent supply. Dull and unimaginative breakfast. Many things not working....eg fan, fridge, lights.....although mostly remedied on request. The worst feature....unbelievably unfriendly and unwelcoming reception staff...bordering on the hostile !....an absolute disgrace !

The position is not bad but our bungalow was dark, with oppressive furniture and very run-down bathroom. Breakfast is poor, a lot of ants running around and table covers full of spots. Very overpriced for what it offers.

With RM100, they arranged a candle light dinner for me and my husband. It was nice private dinner at the balcony with candles and away from other guests. However, a bit dissatisfied with the food choice. Upon being seated, they served 2 large glasses of watermelon juice. I don't drink watermelon and would have preferred pineapple instead but can't change... More

If you have stayed in here and you think its good, you haven't stayed in any other hotel/resort in Perhentian. I have been a regular traveler to Perhentian Islands, thrice in last 3 years. One stay in Kecil, two in Besar. Shari-La has only one thing to notice, the location (right on the sea side and a private beach). Rooms... More

We have been there for 5 days after a long journey through whole Malaysia and a lot of cheap an bad accommondations. After reaching the Sharia-La Resort we recognized that this place was the right choise. We also checked some other hotels on the island. But the price, roomquality and the service was much better at the Shari-La. We stayed... More

I spend 6 days on Perhentian Kecil at the end of October and stayed at 'Senjas' which I can highly recommend. The location at the end of the beach is perfect as the water conditions are the best there and the Bungalows are in really good conditions and very clean. However, as the monsoon season was about to start, Senjas... More

We stayed for 4 nights beginning of October. I wouldn't recommend this hotel, although I am not sure if there are many great other options on the island. Pros: - the bungalows are fine (not perfectly clean, but still ok) - they have a nice little private beach with good snorchelling Cons: - Sometimes it smelled of - probably -... More

Paid RM300 for a night's stay, which is a bit more compared to the many budget options available on Perhentian Kecil. But other places charged RM70-RM160 and what you get is something dead basic. That's how it is on the islands here, where prices are inflated. What we got however was a bit better than 'basic'. It's modelled as a... More

We stayed here for 2 days and every penny spent here was worth it .. The climatic condition were quite unpredictable but we were never bored in resort too ... It was more like a tree house and the staff were quite friendly. The good part was there were many beaches connected to the resort, 2 mins away were the... More
