Anywhere else I may have been disappointed by this place, but on Perhentian it was perfect. The bungalows are extremely basic--windows with just wooden shutters, a door with a padlock, a mattress on the floor and a mosquito net. Only cold water showers in shared bathroom stalls and electricity from 7:00pm to 7:00am. Mosquitoes are everywhere including cabins, showers, toilets--you're... More

My friend and I stayed here in August 2014. There was an Irish lady there at this time and was so helpful and considerate of our needs, especially two women travelling in Malaysia and primarily as to our safety. This year we visited again and found the owner "Joe" hostile, rude, unhelpful and quite abusive. We were in a chalet... More

The welcoming by the staff was very unfriendly. They really don't care for you, just for your money. They charge for everything like towels, late showers etc. If you have any questions about transport or any kind the guy who works there acts very rude and hostile. I would certainly not recommend this place. The rudeness and overpricing is not... More

Clean & best value on this side of the island. Nice how you get your own little chalet for the same price as a crappy room elsewhere. The reception place is also really nice and they sell water and drinks so you can buy some before you go to bed/out for the day. Would definitely recommend this place compared to... More

This place only has a bed and a fan in the room. Me and a friend stayed in a fan-room with communal bathroom. The bathrooms are clean and sufficient, so there's no lining-up required. However, the electricity only runs for 12 hours starting at 7pm. It is VERY difficult for an afternoon nap or even in the morning after the... More

The bungalows are budget-oriented and pretty basic. No Wifi, no AC, only a fan, and not much besides a bed and a mosquito net. However, the place is nice and located on a hill, so quite calm. Shared bathrooms/showers were OK and the management quite efficient. I had no complaints during my stay.

We recently visited bintang view in April 2015 for 5 nights and was delighted with our stay! The staff are very friendly and attentive, cracking jokes when they can :) Only a 2 min walk to the beach... Up a little hill but the views are absolutely incredible.. With a sea view from your chalet and restaurant while eating there... More

We stayed here five nights, the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The chalet was cute, we had one with attached bathroom which to be honest was definitely worth the extra money. Was clean enough although it is a chalet so expect it to get dirty over your stay and lost of sand on the floor. The Chalets aren't exactly... More

Stayed here for 6 nights. Only positive feelings. Of course you can always find something to complain about, but this place is just good. For the money you pay (50R/night), Bingtang has the best maintained chalets and bathrooms I've seen during my trip. They were clean, working and everything you will need is provided. The balcony is welcoming and there's... More
