Me and my friend spent two nights in the chalets, and it was wonderful. The Irish woman who owns the place is really nice and helpful. The chalets are very simple, but with a nice little terrace. Toilets and showers are okay, and there is even toilet paper! I can recommend this place to everybody who likes it cheap and... More

I really enjoyed my stay at Bintang view. The place is basic but very cosy and quiet. It's located at Long beach, a bit higher up with a great view over the bay. Most of the huts are in the shade in a natural surrounding, so it doesn't get too hot there during the day and it is a quiet, beautiful... More

Enjoyed our stay at Bintang. We stayed in a chalet with shared toilet/shower facilities which were spotlessly clean. Chalet itself was rustic and with a nice veranda. Our chalet was further back up the hill and so the noisy bars didnt bother us too much. Enjoyed the tropical jungle surroundings and spotted a couple of big monitor lizards wandering past!... More

Pros: -Location is a little bit back from Long Beach which was excellent as the all-night fire dancing and concert-volume music pumping out from the beach bars would make sleeping difficult otherwise. -Chalet was in good condition. It was clean with a great shower and toilet. -Nice veranda with table and chairs. -Good bed with mosquito net and fan. Cons:... More

I was recommended these bungalows by a friend of mine who stayed there a few months before. I have to say I checked the reviews and some were quite negative, but thought I would try it for a night anyway - I could always move. Anyway, we got there and got a great little bungalow - simple but super clean.... More

The room was one of the best we could find on the island. It was very clean and had a nice porch and view. We stayed in a bungalow with attached bathroom and fan for 85 ringett. Everywhere on long beach was noisy at night and this place seemed to be one of the quieter places. My only negatives would... More

Bintang View chalet is located on a hill and it takes an easy hike to get up there. To get there, you will need to walk pass some bushes - gets dark at night, so bring a torch and prepare for mosquitoes! The owner Finola is a very nice woman - good hospitality by operators can be hard to find... More

We reached long island and came across this chalet. We arrived at 9am n the lady allowed us to checked in even it is still early. The chalet is a short climb to the hill but overlooking the sea. We took a hut w/ attached bathroom and verandah for RM 85/night. They hv a hut w/ sharing bathroom too.it was... More

It cost 60rm for a double chalet, the electricity turns on at 7pm and off at 7am, it got hot when the fan turned off!!!! You can only charge things by leaving them at reception overnight, other chalets along the beach had plugs. The view was amazing, although not all the chalets get one. The toilets were really clean and... More

The chalets are 2 minutes from the main beach, and loud disco music blasted from the beach through out the night, even after 4am. Do not stay here if you want any sleep at all! The owner herself was extremely rude and grumpy, when we kindly pointed out to her the problem she basically snorted and said go somewhere else.... More
