Stayed down the beach at Tuna Bay but ate here several times. Rooms looked (at least from the outside) at least as good as Tuna Bay but a little less western. Staffed by friendly people with great food and drinks (non alcoholic) available. Try sharing the spicy belacan and the cooling coconut sauce seafood dishes. Great teh tarak too.

We stayed at Abdul's for 2 nights and had a very nice stay. The chalets are very clean, and surprisingly new. We had no mosquito problems at all (which we were scared of after reading reviews for other places), and the AC worked perfectly, allowing us to have a good night sleep in spite of the high temperatures outside. After... More

I sent them my booking reservations then moment they start to take in reservations for year 2014. They replied promptly with the details for a packaged stay inclusive of meals + snorkeling trip. There are 4 of us in this trip, 2 are interested in snorkeling and another 2 purely in diving. As such, I asked for a room only... More

We booked Abduls chalet's thinking it was a little expensive (compared to other hotels in Malaysia), although all accommodation on the Island is a little pricey. However we were very happy with the rooms when we arrived. We booked a beachfront chalet (which we could only get for 6 nights out of 7) and it was directly on the beach,... More

A Beautiful peaceful location. Fairly basic beach hut facilities, with air conditioning that tripped occasionally but it kept the room cool. Bathroom was basically a wet room and had an electric shower that worked well. No alcohol served at this lodging, but there were a couple of places along the beach that did. Alcohol in this part of the world... More

We took a Seaview chalet package which was excellent value. Food was good with enough choices on the set menu to keep us satisfied over the 6 days. Chalet on beach was very nice and spent quite a few hours just sitting on the verandah enjoying the view, reading and listening to music and occasional stroll the 40 metres to... More

I stayed in the Abdul's chalet with my friend and my brother with his wife. The bungalow was quite okay and clean, yet the reception was observed to be quite unfriendly. On several occasions, I had problem with wi-fi, and I was told that too many people were using it and so on... Moreover, the service at the restaurant was... More

Stayed three nights in deluxe beach chalet 25th May. Chalet was very clean with all the comforts required such as large bed and hot shower. Don't expect luxury as you will be disappointed but do expect perfect location and a relaxing time. We booked room only but took breakfast each morning at Abduls. Fresh coffe and orange juice and a... More

The Sea View Deluxe Chalets, first row facing to the sea, are something special: directly on the sand, you can move the curtains and enjoy an unique panorama, expecially at sunset when you can sit on the terrace and hear the sound of the waves while the sun goes down. If you are looking for a luxury accomodation this is... More

Having visited the Perhentians before in 2008 I knew we needed to shift our expectations from the usual Asia island experience. Don't, for example, expect the ever smiling good natured service of Bali with its attention to detail .... At first, we were a bit put out by the fumbling service and the ways some things are done at Abdul's... More
