We spent 5 nights on the Perhentians and couldn't really complain about our accommodations at Cocohut. The staff were friendly and helpful and the island lifestyle is very laid back. The restaurant was really good with fresh seafood at the BBQ and the noodle dishes kept the kids happy. Breakfast was fine and kept us going until lunchtime. We had... More

The chalets are basic but ok. The same goes for the staff. The restaurant serves good lunch, especially the sandwiches and shakes. For dinner the restaurant next door, Tuna Bay resort, is a much better option with great food. Next time we would stay at the other beach, at this beach there is not so much choice and the beach... We arrived from kuala Besut with a small boat, after 30 min. The surrounding is beautiful, but you are not in the middle of nowhere as you can see the small (modern) village on the small island. We had a small chalet just behind the ones facing the beach. The room has no charm at all, no decoration. The guests... More

The Vozy chalet is a part of Cocohut. The chalets climbs the hill side overviewing the sound between the small and big Perenthian islands. The standard is simple in the chalets but quite nice. During our four night stay there where no cleaning of the room, no ammenities except two small soap bars. If you run out of toilet paper,... More

Staff was okay, a smile wouldn't hurt now and then. Nice wooden chalet, a bit dark inside but pretty functional. It's good to have a balcony (for bad weather), but you'll spend most time on the beach or in the water. Lots to see under water; little clownfish and lots of other fish and coral. You can see turtles swimming... More

Stayed for 5 days at Cocohut at a beach chalet. Chalets were small but recently painted with new floors and was decent overall. The water pressure was strong and plenty of hot water. Room came with AC and a fridge. Wifi was only at the restaurant area and it was slow most of the time. Make no mistake, this is... More

Perhentian is a perfect place. When there, you only want to concern about snorkeling or diving. And people from New Cocohut are concerned with your happiness. Our checkin was about 11am, 3 hours before the standard time. First good impression. We had a nice a la carte breakfast and during the other days, we had included buffet breakfast. The wifi... More

We booked 2 adjoining seaview rooms for 3d2n. We went to the reception to clarify as we got 2 separate rooms instead. However, the attitude of the staff were so disappointing and rude. They didnt even apologize for their mistakes but blamed us for not wanting the separate rooms .they even said that they 've never receive any prior notice(obviously... More
