Lovely beach and good food. Not much variety in the vicinity but good range of everything. Lots of sunbeds (although a bit hard to lie on). Staff very friendly and organised - resort is professionally run and service is good. Ace dive shop next door - we used Universal Divers who were fab. We booked the cheapest room (without a... More

Me and my family stayed for 7 nights and really enjoyed it. We stayed in one beach front with connecting room to our children, perfect. The room are clean and fresh, they even clean the ac once a year. The hole! staff is great, very friendly and helpful. Big thanks to Jimmy who always took special care of us in... More

Since leaving the Perhentian islands, we have met a number of people that are heading towards the islands and before they even ask, we tell them that they must book Tuna Bay! We were only meant to stay for 6 nights but decided to lengthen our stay after having checked out the other resorts on the big island. The rooms... More

I recently spent 8 nights with my 4 children and husband (with other families) at this lovely holiday spot. If you like snorkeling or scuba diving, it is a fantastic location. I am recovering from an accident so was very limited in my activities but had a wonderful relaxing break. Beautiful protected reef off the beach to snorkel. Pier for... More

Just one of the best places you can visit! Magnificent beach, water, location. Really nice standard charlets/bungalows! We stayed for two week with a lovely garden view (and a small sea view). Fantastic. Lovely staff, super nice food. Very tasty! The seafood and Malay/Asian food is superb! The small beach bar was also really nice, with some really tasty cocktails.... More

Stayed for five nights in one of the joined garden rooms (3 adults, 2 kids). Rooms are very simple and small- what I would consider 3 star accommodation. The shower is heated from a wall unit and barely had any flow. But we really didn't mind as the location is perfect to visit as a family and the beach is... More

Overall the resort is recommended. Staffs are very friendly, excellent food. I stayed in the Super Deluxe Hill View Chalet. I would say that I'm quite happy with the room, clean and big with a safe vault. However, the location of the room was really lousy. The published "Hill View" was very misleading. I wanted to book the sea view... More

Rarely find time to write a trip report ... but just have to say that we just had the most spectacular vacation at Tuna Bay. The location is splendid, and the beach front chalets are truly worth the additional expense. Reservations need a lot of advance planning so book early if you want one of the handful of sea facing... Located right by the jetty. Large restaurant area with wifi (doesn't extend to rooms). Lots of staff about and diving shops right next door. We found the food a bit samey and overpriced compared to other restaurants - especially the fresh fish (and frozen lobster!).

Tuna Bay has what the other accomodations lack: management. The resort is maintained, everything works, it's clean, the service is very good, and the restaurant has an outstanding a la carte menu. We were with 5 in 3 chalets, for 4 nights, and all enjoyed. Other places at the island we visited before, as we are divers, but Tuna Bay... More
