My wife and I stayed at the Tuna Bay resort for 10 days in early September and had a brilliant time. The resort consist of an open restaurant/bar area and some 12 huts, each housing 4 en-suite rooms. The rooms are very basic and the walls are thin. But the a/c is working properly and there was running hot and cold... more

We spent four nights here. The diving was well organized and cheap. After more than 4 days the varied but unchanging menu and the limited range of activities might be too much for some. (Garden) Rooms were clean and decent. Good value by all standards except Malaysian. more

The hotel is nothing special, maybe is one of the cleanest of the island and this is the reason why people still go there. About people ... you'll find sooo many Italians that you shouldn't go unless you don't mind being in Naples city centre. The bedrooms are very very basics, no shower gel is provided, no hairdryer... sorry, just... more

Tuna Bay IR is located on the sheltered side (West) side of the island thus less affected by the waves of open seas and the winds bulding up from ocean. It has a stunning reef just in front of its beach, all the fishes one wished to see in a snorkeling experience (except those who desires to see a whale)... more

My partner and I stayed at this resort, located on the Perhentian islands, in mid-September 2008 for 3 nights. I think the jury is still out on this one. We stayed in a standard room, which was the only thing available when we booked about 6 weeks prior. On the whole, I think it might be better to go to... more

To be fair, everyone has a different idea of what constitutes "relaxation" and a "vacation." For a certain type of person, as is obvious from these reviews, Tuna Bay is just the place: It's very clean; the food is non-threatening and almost entirely Western; everybody employed there speaks good English; there are no "rough spots" from nature to intrude on... more

I have nothing but good things to say about Tuna Bay Resort. My boyfriend and i had spent two weeks travelling Malaysia and arrived at Tuna Bay for the last 2 nights of our holiday. From the moment we arrive (thanks for the complimentary iced tea guys) we were made to feel relaxed and welcome. We had a beach front... more

My husband and I have just come back from our honeymoon at the tuna bay resort and had an amazing time there! the island had been recommended by friends who went there a couple of years ago on a tight budget white travelling. We chose the location for its unspoilt beauty and we were not disappointed. we chose tuna bay... more

This hotel is not luxury, so don't expect it to be! Nothing on this island is luxury! In fact our faucet was loose, the toilet was leaking water and the shower was just a few drops of water. Even the view from this part of the island is not that great. However, the atmosphere was unparalled to any other place... more

Loved our stay at Tuna Bay. Summed up total the experience was very nice. We used the hotels transfer to and from KOTA BAHRU airport. A bit pricey but well organized and fast. We stayed in a garden view room furthest back . A bit close to the Electricity generators but the noice was very low and no smell so... more
