We stayed at 3 different places on Pulau Perhentian Besar, and this was the best. We had a lovely near new chalet that was very clean with a comfortable queen bed and everything worked well. Cocohut Chalet is also the only place on the island which has a deck over the water. This meant we could sit on the deck... More

It could be paradise, but there are too many flaws that take away from the experience. First, we had booked airport transfer. When we got to the airport there was nobody there. We called a few times and finally someone picked up. Their response was "please pick up a taxi, the van was full." This was already an annoyance, as... More

I describe this as one of the nicest places on earth. The island itself is not commercialsed as such and only open 6 months a year so you can relax and take in the beautiful surrounds. The Cocohut chalet is simple but effective. We had a beach front room with 2 double beds, the rooms themslves are very basis, they... More

I have come back to this after seven years, by this time this little beach has opened up many other shops and become a bit more crowded... but back then it was just too empty, and its still a quite relaxing getaway. it is not top luxury hotel, but with the package it offered us we just got really a... This is an overall great place to stay at. Clean room, comfortable bed, AC, TV, hot water and good shower pressure. We had a chalet located on the hill, on the side of the cliff facing the water. Beautiful view. Great little balcony with two sliding doors. Wonderful place to seat, sip wine and watch the sunset. Lines to hang... More

I knew to expect basic accommodation (which can still be done well) but this lacked in so many ways. Our new room was already showing signs of wear and tear (shower attachment broken, tv did not have correct plug), walls so thin you hear the neighbours. Perhaps if the food had been slightly better (but then I prefer Western food)........ More

Pulau Perhentian is a great escape from busy city. No car, no motorcycle & no road! Only boats! Stay in Cocohut from 4D 3N and I would say it is nice. Don't expect 5 or 4 stars of facilities. Service is great! Friendly staff in the hotel. They are friendly and helpful. The restaurant food is awesome! Good chef behind... More

Having spent three weeks in a perfect bungalow with a sea view we have already booked for a month next year. This is the perfect place for a quiet holiday. The bungalows are clean, quiet and comfortable, good size with big beds, AC, fan and TV. Breakfast is served overlooking the sea and at night there is always fish barbeque.... More

We stayed at coco chalet for around 3 days. The chalet was small to accommodate 5 people as we got an extra mattress for us apart from two queen size beds. The washroom was ok and clean. There was AC in the room and hot water supplier in the washroom. They have their own restaurant which is perfectly on the... More

We came from Abdul's chalets down the beach for one night as they were fully booked and it was definitely not the best night sleep we've ever had. We paid over £50 for a garden view room and it was not worth the money. There were ants all in the bathroom and we had to shower with shoes on!! You... More
