We stayed at Kapas Turtle Valley 3 years ago. Normale we don't return to a location we already visited, but we made an exception because we enjoyed it so much at that time. Expectations were high and Sylvia and Peter ( and of course their excellent staff) immediately made us feel welcome again from the moment we got off the... More

We stayed with our 3 kids in 2 connected rooms. The rooms were clean and spacious with a lovely view over the beach and sea. You can snorkel just in front of the resort and see a lot of coral fish, especially if you go a bit further out. Else you could walk to the beach close to Gem island... More

We visited several islands along the east coast of Malaysia and Kapas was BY FAR the worst. The coral is mostly dead and bleached and therefore the aquatic wildlife is minimal relative to the other islands. Also the island itself has nothing to look at and no where to eat. I would therefore urge anyone thinking of snorkeling and/or eating... More

My wife and I spent five days here as part of our honeymoon. It is such a lovely place to relax, with nice huts overlooking the sea and a great beach. We saw most of the other beaches on Kapas and Turtle Valley definitely have the best spot on the island. The snorkelling right in front of the resort is... More

We went there recently these are the pros and cons people should know before you go. Lets talk about the goodies first; It's in a secluded area and its very private, so you practically have the entire beach to yourselves. It's not too huge to the crowd is manageable, absolutely for people who dislike huge crowds and can feel kinda... More

With just the knowledge we saw on some picstures, we initially came for 2 nights. Thus got 4, 5 and eventually we spent an entire week here. It's the last beach on Kapas, accessible only by boat or big stairs so it's hardly visited by other travellers on the island, wich gives it a unique private, almost hidden gem sense... More

We did not stay at this resort but did visit it for lunch one day. The hosts are a charming and friendly Dutch couple named Peter & Sylvia. The food, cooked mostly by Sylvia, is of almost gourmet standards. The beef shwarma my husband and I had was excellent :-) I would not hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone... More

Peter and Sylvia are two of the loveliest hosts! Turtle valley is by far the best resort on the island - the rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. Sylvia's cooking is exceptional and she will do a small portion of anything for a child and charges accordingly. It is true that you are cut off from the rest of... More

The island in general offers nothing spectacular. While the sandy beaches and crystal clear waters are remarkable despite it's littered with broken dead corals, there is hardly nothing to do here. While it's great, food in general is poor and this place has one of the more expensive choices which doesn't stretch the money. Beer is scarce. RM 12 per... More
