I would probably have gave it a terrible rating on everything but looking at the quality of accommodation on the island,it's maybe just poor. negatives: rooms got mould all on the walls. The sink in the bathroom nearly fell off ,it was filthy.service got better the the more you got to know the staff. Positives: the chalets had a good... More

The Kapas Island resort is also known as Kapas Resort and Spa. It is under a new management now - Taken over almost 6 months ago. They have 40-60 chalets and is the biggest resort on the island. The staff were extremely helpful and accomodating. We were traveling with one child and they made an effort to cook for the... More

We stayed three nights and it was more than we should have. Only the beautiful island made it worth for us. The rooms are not only old, but dirty and not maintaint at all. The food is not recommendable, so skip the breakfast.. never again this resort. The pool was under maintenance as everything else and the spa non existent.... More

To be honest, it's a bit of a shambles. There's no Wifi as promised and the pool's out of use. We had to ask 3 times for towels and toilet paper. There was a leak in our chalet which flooded the bath room, unnoticed during the room prep... There are power cuts, though that might be island wide. The whole... More

Oh My God Allah.. Where do I start... 1) Horrible horrible expensive food. Food on any island would be expensive generally.. but serving horrible food is not an excuse any where. Fried rice not cooked properly, how can you not cooked a simple fried rice??!! We did walk over to another stall near the hotel, cheaper & better food. 2)... More

Rooms are old and not maintained at all. We found toothpaste and hair in the sink. Toilet bowl is dirty. We payed 160 Rm per night, and I must say that even 16 RM would have been way too much for a place like this. In the so called garden, especially in the part close to the kitchen, there is... More

I made the mistake of booking a 3day/2night package from a tour operator in Kuala Terrenganu. It was very over-priced. The rooms were spacious chalets made of wood but 20-30 metres from the beach, the food provided was buffet (except one lunch which was prepared from the previous nights leftovers because of the lack of guests on the day, in... Location is all this hotel has going for it! Kapas is a beautiful, unspoilt island, but if you are planning on visiting - don't stay here! The staff are bone idle (more interested in watching TV than working) and the management couldn't care less. The swimming pool should come with a public health warning, as should the food that comes... More
