I came to KBC by accident, and what a brilliant accident! It's the vibe, hammocks in the trees, powder soft sand, such friendly staff and gorgeous sea only metres away that makes this place! and the reason i give it 5 stars. It was the start of the season, so some rooms/chalets still being made ready after the end of... More

Lets start with the positive side of KBC - the Chalet itself. The owner as well as the staff running the place are all very friendly, chilled, laid-back. As soon as you arrive you will already know that this is a place to hang out for a longer period of time. The rooms are basic, maybe they need some renovation,... More

KBC restaurant Is great. Good food and great atmosphere. The Dutch Owner Hans, was like classic host from movies. He took his guests to his friends. Very warm experience In many ways. Chalets were very basic. Room and a shower. What more you need, ´cos outside Is always so much better. Makes me want to go again!

A bunch of parasites who think of themselves that they are sooo cool! But in fact, the staff doesn't know how to run a homestay and make people feel comfortable. The worse memory of all Malaysia, although the island in itself is very beautiful.

We have been travelling south east Asia for 5 months and this was our favourite place so far! We stayed 5 nights but could have stayed months! We choose the cheapest room at 40 ringitt and it was all we need from a basic room.Clean, comfortable and mosquito protected. They have a range of more expensive less basic options also.... More

This review score is based on the chalets. Marissa is the face of the place really and all the other staff are lovely, friendly and smile lots :) The chalets are clean and yes cold water and no sink (who cares!!!) and so relaxing. The restaurant and the chalets are separately owned/run and it shows. We have never met such... More

After spending over a month in Sumatra and Malaysia (including visits to the Perhentians and Redang), this humble, but deceptively beautiful isle stole our hearts. Untouched beaches with good snorkeling lie over the headlands and a jungle trek to the seaward side of the island is a great way to spend an afternoon. Expect black-tip reef sharks, giant pufferfish, and... More

To refer to some of the previous reviews... (which luckily I didn't read before I visited this awesome place)... Yes, there was no sink in the bathroom, but there's a drain in the floor.. Does your western upbringing really mean you will DIE if you don't have a sink? I thought not. Yes, creatures could get into your room if... More

Overpriced and a little run down rooms, but there is a pretty friendly atomosphere. The worse thing about this place is the restaurant, which i would avoid like the plague. We had been travelling up the east coast of Malaysia for over a month before arriving at KBC and the food was the most expensive and the least tasty of... More

Chalets without a sink and with rats running in the wall. The furniture on the veranda was broken and the food overpriced. Summary: The place is overpriced and you should avoid it. The girl in the front office was friendly though but the owner was arrogant. There are better places to stay at!
