Firstly, one should know that this resort is far away from Kuala Terengganu (40 mins drive) so it's not your ideal base if you want to explore KT. Some reviewers complained about the difficulties in getting a taxi into town, well, that is expected when this place is in the middle of nowhere. Find a KT hotel instead. It is... More

Has a lovely infinity pool and overlooks a beautiful beach. Rooms are a bit run down and air con is loud, also ran into a few creepy crawlies on our stay! However, beds are comfortable and rooms have a TV with one English channel. Staff seemed a bit clueless and unfriendly and often ignored requests meaning we had to ask... More

My family and I stayed there for a night before heading for Redang. Nice hotel, well designed, good service from the staff. They have a nice infinity pool (a good warm up before heading for your Island adventure). We stayed at the room with the pool view. The rooms are okay. However, very poor breakfast buffet. Fried eggs were too... More

friendly staff, nice breakfast, rooms are nice, pool is nice, beach is okay. If you want to have some action, it's the wrong place though. Even though it was nearly fully booked, nothing was going on. Due to the muslim culture, they don't sell alcohol (which we respect). It's a really boring place. It's alright for a night.

Stayed here one night before traveling onwards to Redang. Hotel is very much focused on the locals, thus customer service is not always optimal. Not a major problem though. Rooms are slightly outdated, but still function properly. Fine for a night.

I'd like to start by saying some of the reviews are very unfair, this is a malay resort that isn't really marketed towards westerns and so we should respect that we are visiting their country rather than try and make them cater directly for us. I know from previous experience a lot of malays do tend to swim clothed although... More

I thought my partner was playing an elaborate prank when I arrived here as everything seemed to be wrong with the place and it was void of any people apart from the odd woman in a burka and male staff member walking around constantly hocking flem from their throat. It felt like a dodgy Malay episode of faulty towers. I... More

Hotel hell? Maybe. We booked 4 nights at the Sutra Beach Resort as couldn't get any accommodation on any of the islands. The photos seemed nice enough so thought that we would give it a go despite the mixed reviews. On arrival the staff were less than welcoming. They were talking seriously as though our room wasn't available. Barely made... More

Very relaxing and beautiful beach and super like the infinity swimming pool...Stayed in a Deluxe sea view. Calm and serene. Room is ok. Breakfast is acceptable. Will wish to come for second time. Good for family vacation.
