Similar to other reviews, the hotel was being renovated during stay. Rooms fine but bathrooms v basic. Also no curtains so light wakes you up early. Good value though. Englidh Tea rooms v good after hot day and nice views across bay, also Lady in Tourist very helpful more

The hotel was currently undergoing renovations when we stayed there. The rooms were okay but bathrooms were basic, still this is was an unrenovated room that we stayed in. Rooftop bar area was fabulous and a great spot for watching the sunset. more

Stayed here 2 nights. The hotel feels quite old . Hallways are dark and dismal and have a strange smell(?mildew). Nak hotel was a real refreshing treat after touring most of Sandakan. It stands out from the neighboring buildings with its reds and its grandiose decor, remarkably so without looking pretentious.
