My partner and I arrived at BNL on the 25 March for our 3 days/2 nights stay. We were pessimistic about our visit as we were the only people in the lodge on that day and were further disappointed, since we enjoy walking, to discover that other than boat trips along the river there was little else to do. There... More

On arrival we thought what have we done. Basic but clean bedrooms, no wifi and a charmless restaurant. Irrelevant. Outside its a jungle, quite literally. Our excellent guide Glenn whose english and humour were superb took us on evening and dawn boat and jungle tours. We encountered 5 types of monkey, some at a metre from our boat, orang utan,... My wife and I stayed at the jungle lodge in February 2015. We were very fortunate to see a wide variety of wildlife and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We were made to feel very welcome by Cesar and rest of the staff at the site. We had a great laugh and learnt so much. Our own guide, Kurt was... More

Hi there, NIce to hear from you again and thank you so much for the compliments. Will extend your message to all of our staffs. As for the room tips, as you aware as we are an eco-friendly lodge, all electrical items at night after 10:30 pm will be run by our solar power. Appreciate if you could pass around... More

We were a party of 4 staying on a 3D2N package. We weren't sure what to expect but whatever we thought it could possibly present, the experience exceeded it many times. We were picked up by minibus by our guide, Glen, from our hotel as arranged (actually he was early!). It was a long and bumpy trip to the river... More

The Borneo Nature Lodge is highly recommended. The lodge is a eco-friendly, low-key place. So if you are looking for a large luxury hotel this is not the place for you. But if you want a cossy lodge with a friendly staff (including the 16 years old daughter of the owner) this is the place to go. The lodge only... More

We stayed at Borneo Nature Lodge for 3 nights and the experience was brilliant! Walter and the team, were very warm and welcoming. Walter asked us what we wanted to get out of the trip and he tailored activities according to our desires. The river cruises were particularly fruitful, including viewings of various animals such as orang-utans, elephants, proboscis monkeys,... More

Hi Priscilla, Thank you for the compliment and glad to hear that you have enjoyed your stay even though there was a slight miscommunication on your transfer as you did not contacted us before your arrival. Anyway will convey your message to Walter and all of our staffs and appreciate if you could pass the words around. Look forward to... More

We stayed at BNL for 2 nights and 3 days and we were very satisfied with the experience. We were welcomed very warmly by Walter (the manager) and his crew. The rooms were very clean and the entire lodge was very well maintained. The second day, we did not get cold water (yes. Cold water!) and Walter promptly put us... More

Totally recommend this lodge for a stay in Kinabatangan. We stayed for four nights, and initially I was a bit wary even though I stayed in jungle lodges all over Asia in the previous 15 years. This is a wonderful place, fantastic location, great ethos, excellent hot water and aircon. The food is very good. There are insects, there are... More

We stayed at BNL and did a 2D1N package consisting of Lunch, Dinner, Breakfast and 1 included river cruise. We arrived very early in the morning without a reservation and were greeted by Walter (lodge Manager) on the jetty. Walter was very helpful and showed us around. We were the only guests at the time, but I hope the hospitality... More

We were here for 3D2N and were very satisfied with the overall experience. Highly recommended. The lodge is built along Kinabatangan river, surrounded by jungle and can only be accessed by boats. We were staying in the back of the lodge next to the jungle. Sometimes curious macaques would gather on our balcony trying to see what we were doing.... More
