We spent 2 nights at this lodge while on a guided 2 week tour with Saga. Loved everything about it. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean and more than adequate for our needs. You may want to take a hair dryer as they are not provided. We had a fantastic guide 'Jwan' who was very... More

Kinanbatang river as a location is apparently fairly popular as there were at least three lodges nearby this one. The main attraction of this lodge is obviously nature. The accommodation is in small "cottages" along the shore and all services are concentrated to the reception / restaurant area in the main building. The rooms were large and clean, although a... The lodge, which is only accessible by river, is a great place to stay with opportunity to do boat trips on the river and ox bow lake. Accommodation is in individual lodges which are basic but clean with comfortable beds an adequate bathroom and a covered verandah. Reception and eating area is in a central building with a rustic feel.... More

My mum, brother and I stayed here for a couple of nights back in march. There are definitely nicer places around on the river. Our bedroom was dirty when we arrived and going to such an isolated beautiful area it was very upsetting having to listen to the tv on all day in the bar with the workers watching it. We... More

I just stayed at this lodge at the end of August with 2 other friends. We had an amazing time. We had a guide (Razzel-sp?) that was amazing. He was able to spot so many different animals from such a long distance away. The lodge was clean and like others have said, not 5* but decent beds and clean bathrooms.... More

If you book this lodge or are looking to book here let me put your mind at rest by saying... 1. This is a prime location for spotting wildlife, river cruises even long tail macaques generally on site. 2. Your own private cabin that is very clean and had two great nights sleep. 3. The food was amazing lots of... More

The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Food was good. The boat drivers were excellent at spotting even the smallest wildlife, seeing a kingfisher or monitor lizard in a tree from 30 metres away. We managed to see so much in a few days - orangutan, elephants, eagles, crocodile, lots of different monkeys and other birds. Rooms are... More

The lodge is lovely, the staff attentive and very kind. I had a horrendous experience though with their manager, Jeffrey. Anything you have not booked and that is "not on the programme" you will not get. In my case it was a visit to Sepilok where Jeffrey, though he came with me into the park, stayed absolutely "stum" because his... More
