First time booking an accommodation without checking rating in TripAdvisor and paid dearly. Booked at 4:00PM for stay on the same day. Told the Reception on late arrival at night (finally arrived at 10:30PM). Was given a key to a room that (looks like) has not been cleaned yet after previous night use. Told the Reception of the situation while... More

Booked into a room for a five and only got two towels. The room obviously hadn't been cleaned recently as there was dust and dirt everywhere. The bathroom smelt disgust like there was something blocking the toilet pipes. Spiders and cobwebs in the shower. It rained while we were there and the windows leaked and got our beds and stuff... We were booked into one bedroom of the Pitta lodge with a shared living area. When we arrived we found that for an extra rm60 we could have the whole house for our family if 5. The bedrooms are air conditioned with ceiling fans although the living area has only fans. The veranda also has a ceiling fan and is... More

We stayed here for two nights, in a standard room with fan. The fan was very powerful and we didn't feel we needed A/C at all. Room furnishings a little worn and we had quite a few ants, but this is a budget B&B in the jungle after all. The staff were very helpful in getting a large spider out... More

Delicious juicy rambutan trees, big mature trees, quiet environment, spacious compound, strategic location to RDC etc.. , serves excellent fried noodle with seafood. But... The kingfisher cafe is below par. Not everything is available on the menu and menu items can go unavailable suddenly (upon checking with kitchen chef) .Apparently due to depleted ingredients. This happens in few occasions in... More

We stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed it. Contact and booking was quick and easy. The double bedroom was quite big, had a balcony, fan and a/c (which we hardly ever used). The whole place is spread over a quite big area, which is nice and gardeny green. The staff was very friendly. The place also has a... More

Sepilok B&B is the best budget place to stay in Sepilok. The environment is wonderful, it feels like you are in the middle of the jungle, the staff is very friendly, professional and ready to give advices. The location is very good: 15 min walk to the Orangutan Rehabilitation center, 3 min walk to the Rainforest Discovery Center, 20 min... More

Being only 400 meters from the entrance of the RDC (Rainforest Discovery Centre) this B&B is ideal for anyone wanting to visit the centre. Sepilok B&B has a range of rooms from privates to dorms to camping with the site being spread over several green acres.. Fareeda is as friendly a manager as you could hope for, always at your... Happy that we decided to stay in Sepilok instead of Sandakan. A quite place, close to all the major highlights. Sepilok B&B is a nicely located place, very close to the RDC. Especially for birdwatchers (like me) a good reason to stay here. The staff at the B&B is very friendly and helpful, a simple but good breakfast is included,... More

The lows- no hot water & no water in the Sunbird lodge, each time we went over & reception arranged for it to go back on but it did happen every time we wanted a shower. We just presumed that was how it was there because of being in the rainforest until the last night when others were saying how great... More
