We booked this place based on good reviews. When we reached their, except one staff all others were not interested in receiving us. We were forced to ask for the required towels and soap since they were not kept adequately. The room is ok for the price but the Air Condition was leaking water throughout of our stay and on... Perfect location next to the Rainforest Discovery Center. The upstairs rooms in the Hornbill lodge all have air conditioners, hot water and small balconies. Comes with breaky and water. WiFi was hit or miss when I was there. Some of the staff are helpful and attentive.

My sister and I stayed here in the hornbill lodge which was a fantastic room. It was reasonably priced and waking up to the sound of the rainforest was a real treat. The staff were very helpful and always in good form. The food was nice with a good selection. The location is great, only a 5 minute walk from... More

We moved here from Sepilok Jungle Resort as it was very poor. We stayed in Room S2 which was AC room but it didn't work. We think it never worked and never will do so beware. On the positive, the rest of the room was fine, nice bathroom, very large with 6 beds, TV that worked unlike Jungle Resort and... More

We wanted a place to bade ourselves for the orangutans and sun bears, and thmop is was perfect. Both are walking distance. You can hear all the wildlife at night. The accommodation is clean, and the food portions are large. A great stay!

This is the closest hotel to the discovery centre which is a wonderful place. Our room was comfortable and clean although there was a little pile of termite droppings under the TV stand. Since our room was never made up in the three nights we were there, the droppings remained. A good breakfast was included and one could buy lunch... More

If your going to stay in sepilok then this must have the best location. I highly recommend the hornbill building especially if you can get a room on the top floor, I was lucky enough to see hornbills from the balcony in the morning. The food was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. But some of them did... More

This place we found to be basic but clean and in a great location- over the road from the rain forest discovery centre and a 10 minute walk to the orangutan sanctury. The food wasn't anything special but was really cheap! Staff friendly and spoke excellent English.

Three nights turned in to seven! Location was perfect for our travels. Definitely made the right decision to go direct to Sepilok B&B after landing and not going in to Sandakan. Our stay was at the beginning of the low season which made the area much more quiet and less crowded. The B&B I can imagine can get pretty crowded... More

Very nice place to stay in Sepilok within walking distance to rainforest discovery center and Orang Utan Rehab center. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, we chatted a lot with them (they'll help you with anything from printing to laundry, transport, information, ect.). Good WIFI considering where yo are. Breakfast and other food in the restaurant is okay and quite affordable.... More
