Sea View has the personal touch of a homestay with all the convenience a budget traveller would want in a hostel: it's clean, has plenty of toilets and showers (soap included), very friendly and attentive staff, a delicious breakfast (large pancake and a hot drink with milk that hasn't been condensed!), and a very nice social chill-out space with cushions,... Last May we had a roundtrip through Malaysia and Borneo. We are still forgetting to write a review about Nafisa and her great place. But here it is! Although we didn't stayed overnight here, we spend a lot of our time at this place. We had dinner and lunch at the restaurant and Nafisa arranged a fantastic trip for us... More

We came to Sea view after reading trip advisor's reviews and were not disappointed. Manager Nabistul has made this hostel one of a kind in that guests can really feel at home at Sea View. It is not the newest or cheapest hostel in the vicinity, but we felt very comfortable at sea view nevertheless. The banana fritters offered with... More

It jus located behind the Four Point Harbour Square and opposite the central market. but it usually make u kinda hard to find when u first come arrived to Sandakan. I was stayed at 20 beds mixed dorm. The furnitures is quite old, the mattress are soft which it kinda make u hardly sleep at night. (It trapped heat). There... More

Initially came here for 1 night, ended up coming back for an extra 3. One recommendation from a previous guest was go to the opposite market for fresh prawns (15rm for a Kilo!!) and see what culinary delights the amazing staff can conjure up! We were not disappointed after choosing some extra veggies we were left fully satisfied after a... More

Well.. I'm back home right now, so have time to write a review about this nice place. We stayed here just 1 night during our august trip around Malaysia. The place is a perfect choice for the money. We payed just 5 or 10 ringgit more than the usual "double room no bathroom" price (i mean, the price in other... More

The first thing we did was meeting the owner in a most special way. By carrying the owner downstairs because her leg was broken. So that was a very funny but warm welcome :). She made us feel right at home. We had a short stay there so we didn't have the time to try the pumpkin curry. So on... More

The staff and owner are very hospitable. Free banana fritters and tea on arrival. Dorms and breakfast were good too. The owner was very helpful when we were trying to organise a river cruise trip. Definitely stay here if you're in Sandakan

Stay here and buy fresh scrimps on the market across the street. Let the lady in the hotel prepare them steamed with garlic or tomato. You will get the best dish ever. The pumpkin gravy was also a favorite. It's worth staying an extra night for that one. Let her also plan the jungle trip, it's easy and well worth... More

I checked in to a 4-bed dorm and stayed a couple nights. Since it was not that busy they gave me and my friend both a 4-bed dorm to stay in, so virtually we both had a private room. The rooms are spacious, clean, air-conditioned and perfect to sleep: dark and quiet! Upon arrival you immediately feel like at home.... More
