We stumbled along this gem of a hostel by striking up a random conversation with a fellow backpacker on the bus from KK to Sandakan, and the result of that conversation couldn't have been better. In eight weeks of travel this is the best hostel by a mile i have stayed in. I doubt very much i would have enjoyed... More

They were both extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them - they were keen to ensure that I had everything I needed. We dined together on more than one occasion and Nafis is... Booked the sunset harbour hotel online and looked like a nice hotel, which it was except for one major problem. They are currently building (nov 08) a new shopping complex right next to the hotel. The noise was so bad that i had to leave the following morning as the room was shaking with the noise of the concrete pillars... More

We stayed here a month ago and were slightly worried as we couldn't find any reviews for it. It turned out to be one of the better places we stayed on a 4 month trip. The place is new and is exceptionally clean, I think it will probably stay that way too as it is cleaned everyday, even the curtains... More
