Me and my friend stayed here for two nights in the end of the year 2013 (sorry for the late review!) From the beginning I was amazed how friendly and helpful the staff was. It was something really unique, felt like we were visiting a friend. Breakfest (a pancake) wasn't big but it was tasty, and you can buy some... More

We stayed here as a budget option for one night during our honeymoon in Borneo. Nabistul who runs the hotel was very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived and let us check in even though we arrived first thing in the morning. The room was simple but clean and air conditioning was very effective. The manager also helped... More

My friends and I stayed in Sea View Hotel for 2 nights, on our whistle stop tour of Borneo. From the moment we arrived we received the warmest of welcomes. The staff were amazing and incredibly friendly, always looking to help and inform us about the city. The free breakfast consists of pancakes and Palm Sugar Syrup and is the... More

I stayed at the sea view hotel enroute to Seporna and the dive islands of Mabul+Sipadan. At $15 for a dbl room with breakfeast+wifi thrown in, this is the best value in town. Because of recent small invasions by the followers of the Sultan of Sulu, this coastline running from Sandakan through Seporna to Tawwau,is liable to be put on... More

Very friendly and helpful staff. They helped us to organize a tour to the kinabatangan river which we really enjoyed. Great location. We stayed in a double room with air conditioning and bathroom. Clean room but toilet was leaking.

This was the best hostel we've stayed in during our travel through Borneo. When we arrived we were welcomed with tea and banana fritters. The staff helped us organise a river safari in Kinabatangan and told us where to get cheap pearls. The owner (the extremely friendly Nabistul) then kindly invited us for dessert on our second evening (with excellent... More

Sure there are many options in Sandakan, we actually checked a few hostels from pure curiosity :) So, why this one? Well, who else will welcome tired traveller with hot cup of tea and home-made style banana fritters? (yummy, by the way). The lobby is homey, you actually feel at this hostel like visiting family, hihi :) welcomed from the... More

We stayed in this hostel for 2 nights. Rooms are neat and tidy with AC. Hostel/restaurant owner and staff are really nice and helpful in case of planning trips. We received welcoming cup of tea and fried banana and we had pancake breakfast. They create family atmosphere and you will not be an anonymous guest there. Very good budget hostel... More

We checked in early having booked the room for two nights on the internet. The place is easy to find, just around the corner from the Sheraton Four Points. We were given room 020, a double en suite and air con for MYR72 per night. On arrival we were given a nice welcome drink with some banana fritters. The receptionist... More
