Maybe we were just unlucky but no orang utans, no elephants, no gibbons and only a couple of birds. To be fair to the KJC they did say that orangutans and elephants were unlikely - but if you read some of the previous reviews it sounds like everyone else sees them! We did see proboscis monkeys and langurs. We were... More

Just spent two nights at KJC as a family of four, including a 12 and 4 year old. Highly recommend this site...the staff, food and facilities are all excellent. Might not be luxury but you know that when you book it. The staff couldn't be more helpful ..and not in your face all the time either. Our guide was so... More

My mother and I spent 3 nights at the camp in March. I was impressed when we arrived as I thought it would be more rustic but the camp is set up for accommodating. There is a bridge passage way from the river to the camp which you can see wildlife in the jungle there. The camp has concrete sidewalks... More

We just came back from Borneo and we spent our last 4 days at KJC in the Jungle.Great place. Our guide Din was very helpful and explained us so much. We did lots of boat trips (best ones in the early morning) and we managed to spot the shy Orangutans (among lots of other animals such as long tale and... More

We stayed at Kinabatangan Jungle Camp for 3 nights and it was great! We did 4 day boat trips, 1 night boat trip, and a jungle walk. Our guide and boat driver were excellent spotters --- we saw 2 wild orangutans, tons of Probiscus and Silver Leaf monkeys, crocodiles, and more beautiful rare birds than we could even count, among... stayed here early july - 2 adults and 5 kids. Welcome to the jungle!! we were warmly welcomed to the jungle by staff, more than once. Our guide was Ding and our boatman was Sam - they were awesome, great with the kids. Right from the start we knew we had made the right choice here, booked directly with Robert... More

My family and I travelled here with Discover Borneo, as a two night/3day trip. We were the only people in camp and throughly enjoyed our time here. During our boat cruises we saw orangutans in the wild (more than once) plenty of bird life, proboscis monkey gangs, AND the herd of Pygmy elephants!! More than we could ask for! The... More

Very basic accommodation but a great place to stay and a fantastic jungle/river experience. trekking was cancelled for us because a heard of elephants had congregated around the camp, no problem with that, given that it's their home, not ours! food was very good, better than a lot of other places doing buffet food as part of activity packages. decent... If you want an impersonal, clinical, and sterile place to stay, do not go here! This is one of the warmest, most welcoming and truly amazing experiences we have had on our travels so far. Robert (the owner) is a wonderfully warm and entertaining character, and this is reflected in the staff he has chosen to work for him. They... More

I cannot recommend this place enough! We had it recommended to us and were slightly wary as their website wasn't as good as some of the others but once you get in touch via email they are extremely helpful. We were the only people staying there in April '13, this was an excellent bonus as everything was catered around us.... More
