Welcome to paradise, just relax and enjoy... and then the dive equipment fails. The divemasters warned us about checking and double checking the equipment, and not without a reason. The staff helps you finding the needed equipment and put your room number and initials on it so you use it for your entire stay. They also prepared if for every... more

Upon arrival at this place I thought I was in a movie - its exactly like the places you read about in posh travel magazines. Our room was 5 star quality and had a balcony looking out to uninterrupted ocean. We sat every night watching the sunset over the mainland, drinking a beer - was bliss. Everything was very professional,... more

The only reason I did not give the maximum rating for the room is the humidity. As a person who is used to sleeping in a room cooled by the aircondioning, the heat without the cooling system was actually a bit hard for me. I ended up showering twice every evening and pulling my bed right under the fan for... more

What a place. When we arrived at the centre, we could not believe how beautiful it was. We stayed for 2 nights during our honeymoon and were so impressed in so many ways. For two nights, £800 seemed like an awful lot, but when we broke it down - transfers, accomodation. food, dive equipment hire, six dives each (including 4... more

We stayed at Kapalai for 3 nights at the end of our honeymoon to combine a bit of luxury and some diving - and we were not disappointed. Couldn't fault them - the chalets are beautiful with wonderful views overlooking what could easily pass as the best aquarium in the world - one evening we sat on our balcony overlooking... more

We booked the Resort thru the website: http://www.downbelow.co.uk/. Everything was a perfectly organized. My husband and I spent 4 days/3 nights at Kapalai. On the third day, my husband dived 4 times in Sipadan. Over 2 nights (15-16 July) was storm, it was so intense that our bungalow swayed. We were terrified and we haven’t slept well because of the... more

We had a short window to try to get to Sipadan and booked two nights at Kapalai. It was FANTASTIC. Everything from the food to the open shower view of the ocean to the diving was great. The first day you arrive and are in the water within 3 hours for a first dive on the house reef. I think... more

It really is worth every penny! I won't repeat what everyone else has written. Please just be aware that you may not get to dive Sipandan .. we didn't and although a little disappointed they other dives were still great. (especially the one under the oil rig!) I do not understand how people are chosen but only 14 people a... more
