Recently stayed at the Sipadan-Kapalai Dive Resort with some friends. We had an excellent time diving. First the hotel. Epically beautiful, just setup on a shallow reef - no land and no island. Amazingly refreshingly out of the way. Felt really good to 'disconnect' from the world (more about the internet connections later). We stayed for 8 days, seven nights,... More

Stunning location for an "affordable" price You get a Maldive setting for only a fraction of the price The bungalows are really nice and the scenary is just outstanding The diving is of course the highlight of the place but when you are done, its really nice to enjoy the sunset on the deck Only minor point is the food... Amazing place and staff. No need to say how beautiful this place is.The staff were all extreme friendly. The food were great but some of the meat were over cooked, quite hard to chew. The diving coach Lito took me to DSD,he is very encouraging and really make me want to study PADI course. I had a wonderful experience there.

For a diver Kapalai is all that you read about and more, the rooms are huge with great views, turtles circle beneath you balcony and you can even see them from your bathtub. The dive crew is 2nd to none, they set up your gear, pack it down and have it ready for you anytime you like. With a great... More

On arrival by boat you will feel like arriving into a beautifull brochure. It looks astonishing. Clear blue water, great built, well maintained houses, a huge restaurant. There is a tremendous amount of staff around, the whole organization is a well oiled machine. But despite this, it all feels very personal and warm. The cottages are great, with a balcony... More

I can't imagine that one would visit the Sipadan-Kapalai Dive Resort for anything else but to dive (find it really strange when there are reviews that there's nothing for non-divers!), so, with that in mind, this is an amazing dive resort. The overwater bungalows are huge! The resort is pretty large so you can still roam around to various parts... More

Have you ever looked a gorgeous postcard of a place and promised yourself that you would go there one day? This was such a place for me. In fact, at that time I didn't even have my scuba license, but now I do. Wow, such crystal clear waters, stunning sunsets and remarkable diving here! Diving is all you do here... More

This resort did not disappoint! I have to admit, I was a little sceptical having looked at the pictures, compared to price paid for dive package... but it was truly spectacular! The diving was the best I have ever seen - an immense amount of big schoals of fish, of every possible variety, and coral that looks like the stuff... More

A nice resort, pristine water. However, this resort is suitable for divers only and there are no amenities for family other than diving and snokeling. No aircon in rooms. Diving was breathtaking though.

Individual chalets on stilts over shallow crystal clear waters of a submerged island teeming with colorful sea life. The chalets are big & very private, ie, well screened. Nicely furnished, huge bathroom with separate tub/shower, lounge chairs in the patio. No air con but the fresh sea breeze & ceiling fan was adequate. Bed a bit hard for me but... More
