We had a wonderful time at Pom Pom! The accommodations were ok and the food even better. Francis my junior diver did some coral rehabilitation activity with them. Mataking was nearby and that was a beautiful place and they had militants with us who went with us to sipadan, I guess for our safety to be sure. We'll be back... More

Like the other reviews I also found out about the security issues just before my departure. The island take security very seriously, however I was happy to be on the island in one of the beach villas. Snorkelling and scuba diving was the best of my life. We were escorted everywhere off the island by two security guards. I was... More

As we booked we already knew about what happened on Pom Pom, and in the surroundings. In this situations you would like to be informed about this by your resort how ever Pom Pom has chosen not to do so :-(( no word about bad things, strange! The Resort is on a small Island (40 minutes walk around) surrounded by... More

Let's start with the positive: this is just a great spot in the world. Beautiful weather, clear waters, a pretty (and daily cleaned - which is necessary in this part of the world as people see the sea as their garbage bin) beach, a fine resort and great snorkeling and diving (sea turtles guaranteed!). But as you can read in... More

Only a few days before our trip to Pompom island we learned about the kidnappings which have been taking place in the Semporna area (but of which nothing was mentioned on the website of the resort). This included Pompom island where apparently a Taiwanese man was killed and his wife kidnapped while staying in a water bungalow in November 2013.... More

The excellent reviews of Pom Pom Island on TripAdvisor drew my wife and me here for a little bit of R & R after a hectic two weeks trekking in the rain forests of Borneo. At first glance as we walked down the jetty to reception I was a little disappointed as the coral that one could see in the... More

We stayed in garden villa for 3 nights. The hotel is just quiet compared to Kapalai. The resturant is good and offers nice food. Both the beach and water is amazing. BTW: you can see many lion fish there

We had the most amazing experience at the Pom Pom Resort for our honeymoon and one that we will remember for the rest of our lives. The island is pure paradise - white sandy beaches surrounded by beautiful reef in warm water that is home to so many tropical fish and rays. We saw green turtles swimming around the pier... More

Pom Pom is a little island which I will remember. Lovely nature, worm and crystal waters full of colorful sea life which makes it a snorkeling paradise, white coral sandy beaches, many colorful sea stars and the famous gigantic sea turtle which makes a really impression on you. Very good services and one of the best massages in the Island... More

I stayed at the resort for three nights with my 3yr old, the island is very beautiful and the beach incredible (especially if you walk along out of the resort a little), the staff also extremely kind and attentive to me and my little boy - however I was unhappy with my room and very disappointed with how this was...
