We stayed 3 nights at this very beautiful resort! we really can recommend the beach villas, where the view is just amazing! This could be just your desktop screensaver! I never saw such a clear and turquoise water! To be honest there are also garden villas, but they look less nice. they don't have a view at all. So it's... More

If you like Chinese buffet, Chinese music (during the meals) and you speak Chinese, that the right place to go. The Island/resort is organised for Chinese tourists only which represent 98% of the guests. Do not choose the H1, H2 or H3. Very weird architecture where half of the bugalow is the bathroom. Useless. These rooms have no windows with... More

There are certainly some positives when staying at Pom Pom Island. It is set amongst the most pristine of scenery. The water is unmatched to any we have seen thus far (including Fiji) and it is such an emerald blue that we jokingly called it “the pool” when going for a dip outside of our villa. The snorkeling and and... More

I stayed here in May 2015 and it has taken me all this time to put together the list the many reasons to stay at this resort. Service at this resort is fantastic! I live in China so I don't expect much regarding customer service but the management of Pom Pom are fantastic. Friendly, flexible and willing to help with... More

Great relaxing break on Pom Pom Island. Staff were very friendly, ample food for all meals and very relaxing. Stayed in overwater villa - highly recommend. Easy snorkling out front however can be tidal so easier to swim/snorkel at high tide. We booked a snorkeling trip to a near by island and would highly recommend this as saw more wildlife... More

A nice boat ride away from the "mainland". It takes about 1,5 hour. Pristine beaches. Clear waters. Great sea life. Attentive staff. Roomy chalets (right on the beach!). The food is so-so. There's lots of it, but it's not that great. The only downside is knowing that the southern (sea) border of the Philippines is very nearby. And with the... More

one of the best memories: sleeping to the sound of gentle waves. waking up to the sound of gentle waves. running down to the sea ( 20m away from our hut) in pyjamas first thing I got up. witness release of baby turtles and hatchings. snorkelling for over an hour around the island drink wine by the island's bar at... We had a fantastic stay on Pom Pom Island. We booked the 3 days and 2 nights for non divers option, which was much more reasonably priced than the other large resorts in the area. The booking was easy to organise and the resort representative, Jessie, was very efficient and helpful. We really loved the rooms, which were clean and... More

Pom Pom Island Resort was excellent. Just as you always imagined a tropical island. The sea is crystal clear, white sand, coral reef. We stayed one night in a Beach Villa then upgraded to a Water Villa. I would probably recommend the Beach Villa more, purely because you can't access the water from the Waterfront Villas (I think for safety).... More

Picture postcard island, friendly kind staff, gorgeous food, beautiful spa and mind blowing diving- what more do you need?! We had an amazing time and will definitely be back on our next trip to Sabah.
